From prepared the entrepreneurial work and started its career at the end of 1934 by shooting the film The Legend of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom (hong yang hao xia zhuan,1935), to merged into Japanese aggressors'traitors movie(hanjian movie) territory in 1942, Xinhua pictures so far nearly eight-year existed in different period, compared with other their excellences movie companies, Xinhua has undergone dangers and hardships, and the social context also has its specifically at the same time.Xinhua Pictures company originally rise in the left-wing movie movement when Zhang Shankun(S.K)----The business brain and leader seize this opportunity. In the beginning of film product, the first several films get revenue immediately, and not very long after the business of shooting motion pictures which stand up for the left-wing movie movement has been put on the schedule. But, as the Japanese invasion into Shanghai in 1937, Shanghai was deeply into the sense of crisis as a solitary island condition, almost all the Shanghai film companies got into despair overnight, only Xinhua pictures squeezed by the survival, began to recover producer path. By shooting A Beggar Girl (qi gai qian jin,1938) in the first half of 1938, Xinhua reestablished itself. Only about one year after, Xinhua has produced more than 18 films. Besides the film productions by the core crew of Xinhua pictures around Zhang Shankun in early years, they also developed film-related industry experiences and activities, take this analysis after it and the process of the Xinhua pictures showed the type of distinctive management concept of Xinhua pictures leaders and artistic form of innovative points.Chapter 2 discusses the development path and the film creation of Xinhua pictures at the early stage. This period Xinhua pictures keenly seize the market trend, accurately grasp the audience psychology, so rose to become famous movie companies in Shanghai quickly. In this chapter, analysis was concerned in the ideology tendency of Xinhua film creation, the aspiring to become bigger and stronger in the movie industry of Xinhua filmmakers in pioneer days, and efforts to enhance the taste of film art.The third chapter focuses on analyzing the history of solitary island period of Xinhua pictures in social context and the countermeasures. Bring the concept of island in a historical category firstly and try to explain it with a comprehensive action to restore when a huge change of the social environment happened to Xinhua pictures. By the end of context, from late 1937 to 1938, the Shanghai film industry including Xinhua pictures, is facing a unprecedented upheavals, over how to deal with the overall upheavals deal with this argument is the main content of this chapter.The fourth chapter, the fifth chapter and the sixth chapter proceed with two aspects both from the whole and part to introduce the film created by the studios in the island period. The fourth chapter start with the macroscopic way, while the fifth chapter and the sixth chapter approach from microcosmic way to illustrate the power of the film masterpieces created by Xinhua company, through the concrete creation in a long-period achievements, including the artistic achievement and aesthetic style analysis of representative directors and specific film are discussed in detail. While facing alien invaders commercial countermeasures and political wrestler, Xinhua pictures, in this special environment, still devote to the Chinese film type construction and made great achievements in the landmark.Chapter 7 narrative the lost in both management policy and the business subject of Xinhua pictures as an entity in complex and harsh times background. Xinhua merges into Japanese traitors'movie (hanjian movie) territory as a puppet under control.
