After the Sino-Japanese War,China’s commercial film experienced a development peak,but most of the commercial film and commercial production agencies did not get enough attention and research,Guotai Film Company and Datong Film Company as the most powerful film production agencies also have been neglected for a long time.The development of the two companies is not only a microcosm of the post-war private film company,its operators Liu Zhongliang and Liu Zhonghao brothers fortune history of the Chinese film industry is also a best example of family business in film.This paper attempts to analyze the history of cinema business and the history of film production from the source through a large number of historical data analysis,and discusses the development of the two companies from the four stages of establishment,development,division and transformation.After the nationalization transformation,the film industry family management system had been demised in the mainland.In the last chapter,this paper try to analyze the creative characteristics of the two companies’ commercial films from the perspective of the type of film and the historical materials.In this paper,the research purpose of Guotai Film Company and Datong Film Company is to try to supplement and correct the traditional film history for the omission and deviation of the two companies,but also hope that through the companies to study and restore the China’s commercial film format of post-war period,with a view to supplement the writing of Chinese film history. |
