BackgroundThe thinking of diagnosis and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine runs through the process of diagnosis and treatment of diseases in traditional Chinese medicine. In addition,it is a recessive thinking process in which doctors' perceptual and rational understanding of the disease, theoretical knowledge and clinical practice transform each other."Xiang","Qi" and "Shen" originated from the philosophical category of Chinese traditional culture. It is the epistemology and ontology of the ancient Chinese to the world. In the process of development,it has exerted a certain influence on the theory and clinical diagnosis and treatment practice of traditional Chinese medicine.Traditional Chinese medicine is rooted in ancient Chinese traditional culture and pays attention to the clinical application of the related concepts of the three. In addition, there are many academic schools and diagnosis and treatment methods of traditional Chinese medicine, which produce different syndrome differentiation patterns in different periods and different cultural backgrounds.A variety of syndrome differentiation models not only form their own system, but also interrelated and integrated with each other, but the academic blossom makes there are some problems in the process of application, such as school differences, choice tendency and so on.Therefore,it is necessary to further explore the inherent core laws of different syndrome differentiation modes, which is helpful to grasp the clinical diagnosis and treatment thinking of traditional Chinese medicine from the core point of view.In this study, through the definition of the concept of "Xiang","Qi" and"Shen",it is found that "Xiang","Qi" and "Shen" are not only individual individuals, but interrelated, complementary and integrated whole. The holistic view of the trinity of "Xiang-Qi-Shen" is the core of the thinking mode of diagnosis and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine. On the basis of the previous research of the research group, this study puts forward the hypothesis of "Xiang-Qi-Shen" trinity thinking mode of traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment.Starting with the philosophical connotation of the three, this study defines the category of the three in traditional Chinese medicine, and discusses the relationship between the three.Explain the scientific connotation of "Xiang-Qi-Shen" trinity TCM diagnosis and treatment thinking mode, break through the existing understanding of "Xiang","Qi"and "Shen",organically integrate the three and form a theoretical model, systematically sort out the potential application of "Xiang-Qi-Shen" diagnosis and treatment thinking mode in previous dynasties, and reveal the objective law of"Xiang-Qi-Shen" diagnosis and treatment thinking mode.ObjectiveThis study intends to solve the problems in two aspects:First,it intends to analyze the occurrence and philosophical connotation of the concept of "Xiang","Qi" and "Shen",define the connotation of "Xiang","Qi" and"Shen" in this study, analyze the relationship among "Xiang","Qi" and "Shen" and the holistic view of trinity, and analyze the connotation and characteristics of the thinking mode of diagnosis and treatment based on the trinity view of"Xiang-Qi-Shen".Second,this study probes into the potential expression and application of"Xiang-Qi-Shen" thinking mode of diagnosis and treatment, and reveals the different embodiment of "Xiang-Qi-Shen" trinity thinking mode of diagnosis and treatment in different syndrome differentiation,so as to reveal the objective law of diagnosis and treatment thinking through the analysis of representative medical works.MethodsThis study adopts the method of literature research, comprehensively collects, excavates and collates the materials related to this topic in the literature of past dynasties. Moreover,it selects representative works as an example, makes a more comprehensive investigation on the connotation of "Xiang","Qi" and "Shen",and adopts the method of genesis to reflect and reveal the historical stage form and law of the occurrence and evolution of the concept of "Xiang","Qi" and "Shen".The method of hermeneutics is used to comprehensively understand and explain the relevant literature,so as to lay a solid foundation for the interrelationship among the three,as well as the extraction of famous works and other follow-up studies.Through the comprehension analysis method, reading the representative medical works of physicians and combining my own experience and the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, this study summarizes and refines the academic thoughts and characteristics of physicians, and records their personal experience in the form of notes.By using the methods of deduction and induction, this study analyzes the potential application of"Xiang-Qi-Shen" thinking mode of diagnosis and treatment in physicians of all dynasties, and gradually combs the thread of physicians' works.Preliminary exploration of the relationship between the various elements.Taking the retrospective study of coronary heart disease in the real world as an example, this study analyzes the relationship among "Xiang:","Qi" and "Shen" in modern clinic, and establishes a clinical database, which is converted into five games, six Qi,festival Qi and other information according to the onset time of patients with coronary heart disease. The information of retrospective study was quantitatively analyzed by R software(3.6.2).Carries on the frequency statistics to the general research index, the measurement data uses the descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation;the counting data uses the chi-square test;the statistical method of the intra-group test uses the nonparametric rank sum test compared by several groups of independent samples to analyze the difference of the disease percentage in different periods of Qi.The association between symptoms and symptoms is analyzed by association rules. There was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).ResultsThis study defines the connotation of "Xiang","Qi" and "Shen" and the interrelation and overall relationship among them by excavating the ancient literature. On the basis of theoretical research, this study excavates the connotation, characteristics and rules of the trinity thinking mode of diagnosis and treatment of"Xiang-Qi-Shen".The following research results are obtained.1.The philosophical connotations of "Xiang","Qi" and "Shen" are all formed from the surface to the inside, from shallow to deep, retaining the combination of experience and generalization, and the characteristics of the unity of Xiang."Xiang"exists in the hexagram image of the Book of changes and the thinking process of taking images, setting up images, and forgetting images.Laozi's "invisible","image in Tao",Confucian "image to compare virtue",Zhuangzi's "image to build a mirror" and other aspects all quote "Xiang" to explain academic ideas, which is the ancients'methodology and epistemology of world exploration;different times have different understandings of "Qi",but they still have something in common. For example,"Qi"is the origin of all things in the universe, and "Qi" has the functional attributes of materiality and continuous movement. It can communicate with heaven and earth and determine human life and death.Taoism uses "Qi" to explain Tao,and Laozi quotes"Qi" to interpret the connotation of Tao,Wu and Pu.Zhuangzi quotes "Qi" to discuss the spirit of freedom that is not bound by objective objects;"Shen" originates from the ancients' observation of mysterious phenomena in nature and the thinking of ghosts and gods.Under different social backgrounds,"Shen" has different connotations, such as the concept of souls and ghosts in primitive society, the worship of natural animal gods, and the worship of "ancestor gods".With the gradual deepening of people's understanding of nature,"Shen" gradually fades away the form of nature and animals, and over to the "Shen" with human nature.2.The conceptual connotation of "Xiang","Qi" and "Shen" in this study is defined. The "Xiang" studied in this study includes two angles:broad sense and narrow sense, and has two levels of "object image" and "image"."Object image"refers to the representation of things."Image" refers to the abstraction and refinement of doctors through thinking about "object image",which represents the relatively static state of a certain period of time in the development of the disease, and has the attribute of time and space."Qi" mainly refers to the qi,that is,the operating mechanism and functional activities of natural things and the qi of the human body, involving activities such as rising and falling in and out.The meaning of Shen can be divided into broad sense and narrow sense. In a broad sense,Shen is the mysterious and changing law of the movement of all things in nature, which is often unpredictable. In a narrow sense,it refers to the phenomenon g of human life activities, including human consciousness, thinking, spirit, emotion and so on.3.The holistic view of the trinity of "Xiang-Qi-Shen" is explored. This study holds that "Xiang" is the external expression and relatively static state of "Qi" and"Shen";the movement of "Qi" is the driving force of the change of "Xiang" and"Shen";"Shen" is the master of "Xiang" and "Qi",but it is also based on "Xiang" and"Qi"."Xiang","Qi" and "Shen" are interrelated and influence each other. From the point of view of the human body,"Xiang" is the reaction of the "Zang" state, and the changes of the "Qi" and "Shen" state within the human body can be detected through the local tongue, pulse, face, shape, etc. The movement of the qi of the human body and the natural qi of heaven and earth can lead to the change of the "Xiang" and"Shen" of the human body;and the "Shen"(consciousness and mental activities)of the human body can influence the changes of the "Xiang" and "Qi" movement of the human body.In a broad sense, the original image is the place where "Qi" and "Shen"come into being;in a narrow sense, doctors form "image" through the "object image"presented by the human body to judge the state of "Qi" and "Shen".From the point of view of truth,"Xiang-Qi-Shen" contains the connotation of "form and spirit" and"spirit".4.In the "Xiang-Qi-Shen" trinity thinking mode of traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment, doctors form "image" through the observation of patients"object image" and the analysis and processing of thinking."Xiang" includes "object image" and "image",and recognizes the changing "Qi" and "Shen" in the human body through the relatively static "Xiang".In the process of treatment,it is necessary to adjust the bias of "Qi" and "Shen" of the human body,so as to restore the normal state of "Xiang" of the human body."Xiang","Qi" and "Shen" are inseparable, interrelated and complementary. In the process of diagnosis and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine, only by combining "Xiang","Qi" and "Shen" can we completely reveal the objective nature of the disease itself and guide clinical treatment more objectively and effectively.Through the analysis of the works of doctors of previous dynasties, this study explores the potential application of the thinking mode of diagnosis and treatment of "Xiang-Qi-Shen".It is found that different medical works have different modes of thinking of diagnosis and treatment of "Xiang-Qi-Shen".5.Taking the retrospective study of coronary heart disease as an example, this study analyzes the influence of heaven and earth qi on "Xiang" and "Shen" of human body, and explores the relationship among them in modern clinic.According to the time of onset of coronary heart disease,it is converted into five yun and six qi,qi and so on.Through statistical analysis,it is found that the incidence of coronary heart disease is the most(485)when the guest is Jue yin wind wood, and when the passenger transportation is ground transportation(595).The concomitant syndrome of coronary heart disease, such as poor sleep, will change with the change of qi and yun.Through statistical method of association rules,it is found that all the symptoms are associated with two eyes and pale complexion.6.Although the "Xiang-Qi-Shen" trinity diagnosis and treatment thinking mode originated from ancient doctors,it has many similarities with the ideas of the information age and the concept age.If we can integrate the thinking mode of TCM diagnosis and treatment with modern scientific and technological means, and make theory and modern technology permeate, complement and promote each other, then TCM diagnosis and treatment thinking will be more clear, objective and technical.ConclusionThrough the excavation and analysis of ancient documents, this study finds that"Xiang"."Qi" and "Shen" are integrated, complementary and related to each other from the point of view of philosophy and traditional Chinese medicine. Thus, the holistic view of "Xiang-Qi-Shen" trinity is constructed. This study makes an exploratory analysis of the connotation and characteristics of the TCM diagnosis and treatment thinking mode based on the holistic view of the trinity of "Xiang-Qi-Shen",and systematically discusses the relationship among the three under this mode.On the basis of theoretical discussion, this study excavates and analyzes the potential application of "Xiang-Qi-Shen" thinking mode of diagnosis and treatment in the works of representative doctors,in order to reveal the law of "Xiang-Qi-Shen" trinity diagnosis and treatment thinking mode. The conclusions are as follows:1.This study explores the holistic view of the trinity of "Xiang","Qi" and "Shen","Xiang" is the display of the state of "Qi" and "Shen","Qi" is the driving force of the change of "Xiang" and "Shen",and "Shen" is the movement master of "Xiang" and"Shen".Secondly,"Xiang","Qi" and "Shen" are integrated, and the trinity view of"Xiang-Qi-Shen" contains the concepts of "form and spirit" and "spirit".2.This study reveals the structure and connotation of the trinity thinking mode of diagnosis and treatment of "Xiang-Qi-Shen".Its connotation is that in the diagnosis and treatment system of traditional Chinese medicine,we should not only pay attention to the "Xiang" of the diagnosis subject, but also pay more attention to the function of the Qi movement and the situation of "Shen"(consciousness, spirit, emotion)reflected by Xiang, that is,not only pay attention to human diseases, but also place people in the changing law of.the whole natural and social environment. It is necessary to grasp the immediate functional status of diagnosis as a whole. Its structure has the characteristics of dynamic time and space, universality, stable structure, evolutionability, paying attention to understanding and so on.3.This study systematically excavates and analyzes the representative works of some famous TCM experts, and explores the potential expression and application of"Xiang-Qi-Shen" mode of thinking in diagnosis and treatment. It is found that doctors'works in different periods have different understandings of "Xiang","Qi" and "Shen".It is found that "Xiang","Qi" and "Shen" are related to each other in modern clinic, which lays a foundation for future clinical research.4.This study makes an exploratory analysis of the relationship among "Xiang","Qi" and "Shen" in real-world clinic.Studies show that the movement changes of"Qi" of heaven and earth(five yun and six qi,qi)can affect the changes of human body's "Xiang"(symptoms of disease). There is a certain correlation between Shen(mental state)and Xiang(symptoms of disease). From the perspective of real-world clinical research,it is verified that there is a certain correlation among "Xiang","Qi"and "Shen".
