Based on Building Information Model(BIM),the system of information technology in construction aera is leading to an evolution from the individual architect to construction industry.However,construction industry doesn’t have a profound change as manufacturing industry which has realized informatization and is going to realize intellectualization.Therefore,this research firstly does an industry-wide survey of construction aera in order to find the root cause of the productivity limitation in BIM.Many feedbacks in this survey point to a prevailing problem which is most of the participants in construction industry create the BIM models separately.According to the analysis of the informatization and intellectualization backgrounds of construction industry,the reason can be summarized as the BIM technology not only fails to solve the “information island” of construction in across stages and generalized synergy,but also is unable to match the building information needs of future intellectual technology.These two reasons both point to the fact that the current BIM technology cannot realize the Building “Information-Physical” Interaction for lack of the as-is information theory and the reverse information technology.As the real reflection of the physical building,as-is information is the focus of Building Digital Twin which is the part neglected by the current BIM technology.Aiming at the above problem,this research makes an in-depth analysis of the current BIM technology,and also learns from the digital twin theories and reverse engineering technologies.Then the research puts forward a solution which is creating the strategies of “Information-Physical”Interaction oriented to Building Digital Twin with expansion of the current BIM.The research steps details are as follow: 1)Based on the BIM survey and the background analysis,the research finds the defects of current BIM and develops strategies of “Information-Physical” Interaction;2)In the as-is information theory aspect,the research develops the concept of as-is BIM,“Object-Attribute” building information classification method and multidimensional building information descri ption method,and Building“Information-Physical” Interaction System;3)In the reverse information technology aspect,the research proposes three strategies of the information acquisition by reverse technologies,the comparison between information and physical,the modification of the BIM model which are simplified as“Perception-Analysis-Decision”.Therefore,the innovative results of the research including three aspects:1)Based on the innovative view of architecture and architect,the research analyzes the defects of current BIM and reveal the root cause of “Information-Physical” Interaction;2)Based on the innovative theory of as-is information,the research expands the cognitive category of building information and enriches the theoretical connotation of digital architecture;3)Based on the innovative technology of reverse information,the research d evelops the relevant workflows and experimental algorithms for the reverse acquisition and model creation of as-is information.As the implementation result of the strategies of Building “Information-Physical” Interaction,the as-is BIM can be the information source to reflect the physical building and the synergy of other models to solve the separate creations of BIM models.Focusing on the as-is information of the physical building,the research will be the beginning and foundation of the exploration of Building Digital Twin in the future.
