The ecological green building is its development trend in the future,no matter what kind of ideas which are required to respect and use the local characteristics in the design;climates as the non-portable local characteristics have been paid much attention in building design,and are constantly explored.However,the building is a complex system,which is influenced by many kinds of factors,such as materials,thoughts and energies,and a certain contradiction exists between the four-dimensional effect of time and the relative static goal of design.Besides experience,architects need more rational design methods and the design should better combine with the nature from its early stage.Based on the application of digital technology assisted passive building design as the direction of discussion and study,the paper starts from the building design,taking the climatic characteristics of hot-summer and cold-winter zones,and the requirements for the building as the object,to discuss the performance-based design method which is more beneficial to the environment for the public buildings assisted by the advanced digital technology in the early stage of design.First,based on the analysis of the development and characteristics of passive building design and the consideration of the climatic characteristics of hot-summer and cold-winter zones,the paper determines the starting method for the performance-based design of the building in the early stage assisted by the digital technology.Then,based on the analysis of the development of computer-aided building design and the development trend,the paper clears the requirements of the assistant tools in the early stage of design,and put forwards that the goal of the simulation analysis in this stage is not a simple verification of the design,but more importantly the comparison of different design strategies,so as to perform the sustainable design by the assistant architects.Further,the paper conducts the in-depth analysis of the main building factors for the building climate adaptability design in the hot-summer and cold-winter zones,and summarizes some practical design rules through explanation of method and process of the case.Of course,the focus of this part is not the summary on the design strategies,but more importantly is to study the application method of the role played by the relevant digital technology in the early stage of design.Finally,based on the design of a case,the paper gives a more detailed explanation of the method and the process of the passive building design assisted by digital technology through the most up-to-date building information model(Building Information Model,referred to as "BIM)and the application of the building energy consumption analysis software that is suitable for the early stage of design.
