Practice Analysis On Chinese Historic Building Information Modeling (BIM)

In recent 20 years, along with the rapid development of computer technology,people' s ability of information processing and exchange has been greatly improved greatly. The digital information technology, as a tool in new era,has made great progress in the field of architecture.In historical building protection, the core work to protect the building has transferred to information management in systemic heritage from refurbished maintenance so that we are able to extract and preserve the value of historical building. Changing from original passive maintenance protection to preventive protection in a scientific, in completed and systemic way, has put forward a higher requirement on our protection and maintenance of historical building. Currently, building information model, we call BIM for short, has been applied more maturely in developed countries. BIM technology meets the requirement of the times as the virtual building model created by BIM contains a large amount of true information of the building, which plays an important role in the whole life cycle of building. This essay aims to explore the BIM technology in maintenance and protection of historic building.On the other hand, the writer adopts the new information collection method in historical building and expounds the advantage and feasibility of this method, meanwhile, the writer discusses deeply into the expression of information model in different level in the construction of historical building information model, and takes the example of Long Shi massive education building in information models application , the writer puts forward the way of using 3d dimension expression to show the information of historical building mapping and maintenance.In practice, combine with the demand of engineers and deeply dig out the function of BIM in historical building from inner side and outside extend to verify in different respects. Through the maintenance to Long Shi massive education building, he discusses the informatics advantages of BIM in the protection of historical building and the feasibility during the implementation process. During the study, based on the establishment of BIM model of Long Shi massive education building, the writer discusses BIM technology' s practical use, combining with the designing operation from multi-disciplinary and multi-angle, gives comprehensive analysis to maintenance projects to dig out the function of information models in protecting historical building.
