| A university campus is the main place for university students to study,research,live,and communicate.It embodies the frontier characteristics of campus culture and social development,and plays an important role in social development,cultural progress,and technological innovation.The construction of university campus has blazed a path with Chinese characteristics after experiencing China’s transformation from a feudal society to a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society,the exploration of the Soviet Mode after the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the stagnation during the Cultural Revolution,the free development after China’s reform and opening up and also the blowout in new campus construction after entering the 21 st century.Especially in the past 20 years,contemporary Chinese universities have developed rapidly at a high speed,which has greatly expanded the training capacity of China’s higher education system.However,in recent years,the blossoms of university town model and highly expansion on university campuses are emerging new problems.Increasingly limited urban land and urban space are restraining the expansion of campus,which proposes new requirements on existing campus model..With downshifting in massive construction,the renewal has become a new trend.Since the 1990 s,under the leadership of Academician He Jingtang,Architectural Design and Research Institute of South China University of Technology has practiced a large number of outstanding domestic university campus works.With the deepening of practice,Academician He Jingtang also formed and developed a theory called "Two Concepts and Three Features" on practice,with creatively embedding the "Place","Culture" and "Time" into " holistic view and sustainable development view,by building a theoretical frame.The thesis forms a set of university campus planning and architectural renewal and transformation design strategy that suits Chinese domestic conditions.This focuses on the new stage on the development of China’s contemporary university campus,by using the ideology of "Two Concepts and Three Features" as the perspective,focusing on the contemporary The paper aims at proposing new guidance for China’s campus renewal.The main content of the thesis is divided into four parts.The first part proposes the question,which is composed of the first chapter introduction and the second chapter.It first introduces the background,object,purpose and significance of the thesis,and then analyzes the current situation of contemporary university campus development in China,compares excellent campus renewal development cases at home and abroad,and finds The main contradiction in the development of university campuses in my country,combining theory with practice,puts forward the realistic goals and principles of contemporary university campus renovation and transformation design in China.The second part introduces the theory and consists of the third chapter.Through the interpretation of the " Two concepts and three features" theory and its practice,the theoretical basis and practical support are analyzed and explained.And based on the "Two concepts and three features" architecture and planning theory,three levels of design goals and strategic framework systems are constructed for campus planning activation,space renewal awakening,and building renovation and renewal.The third part analyzes the problems and theoretical application,based on the "Two concepts and three features" planning and architectural theory,combined with domestic and foreign university planning and architectural renewal practice cases,analyzes and explores the renewal of contemporary Chinese university campuses from two different levels.,Transformation design strategy:Chapter 4 is divided into three parts,analyzing the renewal and transformation design strategies of contemporary university campus planning.The first part analyzes the linkage between contemporary university campuses and the city with the urban area as the background,and builds a campus planning renewal and transformation design strategy for the overall development of "campus-city",and coordinates the overall planning and renewal of the city through the work of existing campus space planning.upgrade,promote the overall integration and dynamic improvement of the campus and the urban environment;the second part,for the sustainable development of the university,establish a sustainable campus planning update and transformation working mechanism,and build a continuous optimization and evolution for the sustainable growth of the campus Campus transportation system,and a green and low-carbon environmental system that meets the sustainable development of the campus.The third part takes the campus group-level space as the entry point,through the transformation of public space and the renewal of landscape space,awakens the characteristics of campus space and the ecological core,and builds the contemporary university campus renewal design strategy to undertake the functions and direction of the campus to serve the city.Under the guidance of the strategic bridge for the renewal of the building unit,the transition of the design strategy from the planning level to the building level is formed.Chapter 5 takes the "Two concepts and three features " as the perspective and the "holistic view" as the cornerstone to build the foundation for the renewal and transformation of campus building levels——the overall unity of campus building historical value and functional value.From the perspective of "sustainable development concept",construct a sustainable renovation program for the renewal and renovation of existing buildings on campus.In-depth research and comprehensive use of the design strategy for the renewal and transformation of the single building on the university campus,with "Place,Culture,Time" as the starting point,through the inheritance of the historical value of the building,the conversion of functional spaces,and the improvement of building performance,creating and reflecting the campus of college campus planning and building renovation and renovation in the author’s studio,comprehensively verify the hierarchical design strategy proposed in the previous part,and further explain the application and exploration of campus renovation and renovation design strategies from the perspective of "two views and three characteristics" in actual projects.At the end is the conclusion part,which summarizes the innovation points of the update and transformation design strategy developed in this paper from the perspective of the "two views and three characteristics" architectural
