Study On The Fair-faced Brick Wall Of Traditional Buildings In Fuhe River Basin

Because of the unique expressive force and prominent position of the wall,it is an important way to distinguish the building types by the form of the wall.This paper takes the fair-faced brick wall buildings in Fuhe River Basin as a representative,through indepth study and analysis of the form and quality characteristics of brick buildings,further clarify the unique position of Jiangxi style buildings represented by fair-facedbrick wall buildings in Fu River Basin in the history of Chinese architecture.The main research methods and contents are as follows.In the first part,the geographical,cultural and technical background of Fuhe River Basin is sorted out by using the method of history and literature research.Focus on the geographical background related to the research object,such as location,climate,resources and other content,as well as the related cultural background such as political power,immigration,economy,culture and so on,as well as the technical background of brick making technology,roof form and fire sealing wall.The research shows:The geographical background of Fuhe River Basin,such as location,climate and geological resources,provides the material basis for the fair-faced brick wall;the excellent cultural background of the Fuhe River basin provides the aesthetic basis for the fair-faced brick wall;the development of various technologies in the Fu River basin provides the technical basis for the fair-faced brick wall.In the second part,by using the methods of field investigation and graphic analysis,this paper summarizes the morphological characteristics of the traditional building fair–faced brick wall in Fuhe River Basin from the overall and detailed perspectives.On this basis,using the method of comparative study,this paper compares the fair-faced brick wall in Fuhe River basin with Ji'an area,northwest Fujian area and Southeast Hubei Province,and demonstrates the superiority of the quality of the fair-faced brick wall in Fuhe River Basin.The research shows: In the middle reaches of Fuhe River Basin,the fair-faced brick wall has the most strong and representative style,and the overall shape presents a square,straight and regular characteristic style.The detailed shape shows the characteristics of meticulous,pay attention to the texture expression of the material itself,and show the unique construction technology.The fair-faced brick wall in Fuhe River Basin has formed a unique style,which is simple and elegant compared with other areas.The third part focuses on the quality of blue brick and studies the quality of blue brick in quantitative way.The microstructure and chemical composition of blue brick were studied by means of instrument analysis,and the formation reason of blue brick quality was explored and verified.The research shows: The quality of blue brick in the middle reaches of Fuhe River is the most representative,with excellent color quality and texture quality.A series of physical and chemical tests were carried out on blue brick by means of instrumental analysis.The experimental results show that the differences of microstructure and chemical composition of blue brick are largely determined by raw materials.In the fourth part,the key technology of wall and blue brick is studied by interview and literature research to provide support for the protection of fair-faced brick wall.The research shows: The firing technology of blue brick and grouting hollow bucket wall in Fuhe River Basin is the key technology of fair-faced brick wall in Fuhe River Basin.It is of great practical significance to inherit and protect traditional crafts.To sum up,this study conducted a systematic and comprehensive study on the fairfaced brick walls and blue bricks in the Fuhe River Basin from the qualitative and quantitative perspectives.The research results show that the fair-faced brick wall buildings in the Fuhe River Basin have formed a mature style,which indicates that it is an important way to distinguish the architectural styles by the wall forms.Ganpai architecture,represented by the fair-faced brick wall buildings in Fuhe River Basin,has a unique position in the history of Chinese architecture.
