Study On The Curtain Wall System Of Decorating Simple Brick

Brick material has ever created a myriad of miracle of structure and technology in architectural history in the process of whole human civilization. However, with the progress of some technical factors such as material and construction, as well as the social structure and other cultural factors, brick building is gradually fading out of people’s vision. And the position of the brick material from the load-bearing and performance of the double material gradually evolved to the framework of the filler and lost its initial orientation.But in recent years, brick material has returned to the stage of architectural expression with the form of building exterior skin and regained its vitality.This is the theme that this paper is devoted to study-decorating simple brick curtain wall system.This paper tries to illustrate the different manifestations of brick building from two aspects of a historical review and the analysis of contemporary architecture at three stages-the flourishing period, the gradual fade-out and the revival of contemporary. The thesis deeply discusses the brick as a curtain wall system with the current architectural framework dominated and its restricting factors. The main part of this paper discusses specific practice of brick wall system by the analysis of the material, construction and related technical measures. Finally, through the introduction of the design of the "double happiness garden" project’s brick wall design process in which the author participates, the author gives a practical summary of decorating simple brick curtain wall system.Since the revival of contemporary of the brick building is no longer the revival of the brick structure and today’s structural materials and methods of construction are enough to support the rich imagination of architects and the expressive force of the changing of architecture, yet, through the exploration of detailed performance of the brick building and structural design, it can be predicted that the ancient building materials in the future of the construction field will still be of great vitality.
