Abstract/Summary:
The rise of globalization has significantly changed how business is conducted. In addition, the development of new and more advanced technologies has improved communication channels. Even more, the use of virtual teams is currently playing a role of paramount importance in multinational negotiations. Technology is undoubtedly a crucial tool for modern production and, if combined with operation strategies, could bring enormous benefits to industries.;Among the many approaches and strategies designed for production efficiency, the use of holonic manufacturing excels in terms of cooperation, sharing of information and mutual aid between partners. With holonic manufacturing, a network is generated to communicate and guide teams in the achievement of their tasks by making the best possible use of available resources and skills.;To appraise the use of communication technology for the formation of international virtual teams that will perform in an assembly process under a holonic structure is the goal of a simulation that would offer interesting applications and conclusions for corporations that operate multinationally. This study includes such simulation and an examination of the many issues that may affect effective Project and Operations Management.;An analysis of virtual relations combined with holonic manufacturing may yield fascinating insights. Nevertheless, the challenge of utilizing technologies and strategies in global settings may not be exempt from difficulties and dilemmas that should be taken into consideration.
