| This dissertation examined the Certified Medical Assistant [CMA (AAMA)] and the American Association of Medical Assistants code of ethics to understand how codes of ethics are used within the job performance of providing patient safety. Common themes that emerged from the interviews include: professional conduct is an AAMA expectation, providing patient privacy, collaboration with colleagues by asking for help, and respecting patients at all times. |
