This thesis is based on the construction of the Chinese proficiency test system in Thailand as a research object and discuss the development of Chinese proficiency test of Thailand.Based on a systematic review of previous research results,the research framework for extracting the Chinese proficiency test system should include:theoretical basis,grading standard,test outline,test design,and score system which formed this thesis framework and main research content.On the basis of this,three kinds of comparatively mature Chinese proficiency tests have been developed,namely New Chinese Proficiency Test(New HSK)in China Mainland,Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language(TOCFL)in China Taiwan and Japan's Chinese Proficiency Test in Japan.The research methods,macroscopic system analysis,comparative analysis and hybrid methods were used to conduct in-depth research on the theoretical basis,grading standards,test outline,test design and score system in Thai language proficiency testing system in Thailand.The development of the test looking forward to provide some feasible suggestions.Based on the basis of development of language testing,this thesis finds that language test developed through the development of language teaching.Based on this,the analysis of the teaching objectives of the "Thailand Primary and Secondary School Chinese Curriculum Syllabus" shows that it's teaching aims is to cultivate Thai learners' communicative ability.Therefore,this research confirms that "the Theory of Communicative Language Ability" should be used as the theoretical basis for Chinese proficiency test in Thailand,and then puts forward that the three major principles of appropriateness,validity,and authenticity should be followed in Chinese proficiency test.Based on the examination and analysis of the new HSK,TOCFL and Japan's Chinese Proficiency Test,this paper finds that the formulation of the grade standard should be based on the language ability standard,and should be divided into several grade examinations dedicated to candidates with different language proficiency.In view of this,this thesis believes that "The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages"(CEFR)should be used as an important reference for the development of the Chinese proficiency test standards in Thailand,supplemented by the "Chinese Language Proficiency Scales",where subjective and objective tests should be divided into 6 Grade test.This thesis also proposes that a vocabulary outline,grammar outline,topic outline,and task outline should be developed as the propositional basis for the Chinese proficiency test of Thailand in order to define the scope of examination for each grade.On this basis,this study explored the development of vocabulary outlines,grammar outlines,topic outlines and task outlines for Chinese proficiency test in Thailand,as well as issues requiring attention.Taking the formulation of the task outline as an example,this paper proposes that the task selection for the Chinese proficiency test task outline in Thailand should be based on demand.The task outline should be composed of task topics and task goals,and should be sorted according to the difficulty level of task.For the design of the test,this study found that it should include five links:test object,test purpose,test content,test question type and test paper composition.This study believed that the target of Chinese proficiency test in Thailand should be aimed at Thai native speakers.It should be used to test their communicative ability in Chinese language as a test objective.The listening and reading test should be based on the real situation and the spoken and written language materials of the Thai examinee's life,and the content will mainly in objective questions.Writing and speaking test content depends on the test task and should be examined by subjective questions.Chinese proficiency tests in Thailand should be composed of three examinations,written,writing and oral.The number of questions should be sufficient to accurately estimate the actual level of candidates,and at the same time,it will not cause the candidates to have a fatigue effect and affect the level of candidates.Part of the non-language ability test in the test paper should be applied in Thai language.This paper finds that the score system mainly involves three aspects:report score,score explanation and pass score.This study believes that the Chinese proficiency test of Thailand should use the two-point and non-two-point scoring method to calculate the original score,and use the "scale score" as the report score,and explain the candidate's test results through the criterion referenced point interpretation system.The Chinese proficiency test of Thailand should not set a pass score so as to avoid candidate giving up learning Chinese language after they passed the exam and to prevent the educational institution used the pass score to link with the graduation condition.In addition,this study puts forward three reflections on the construction of Chinese proficiency test system in Thailand.First,"three teachings and one measurement" are important issues in the sustainable development of international Chinese language communication.Second,the Chinese proficiency test of Thailand is an important element in improving Chinese language teaching system in Thailand.Third,the government's lead in Thailand is conducive to improving the authority of the Chinese proficiency test of Thailand.Other than that,it also discussed the four implications of nationalized Chinese proficiency test through the Chinese proficiency test system in Thailand.First,the theoretical basis for nationalized Chinese proficiency testing should correspond to the concept and goals of Chinese language teaching.Secondly,the formulation of the test standards for nationalized Chinese proficiency testing should be in line with standards practice in international for language ability.Thirdly,the design of nationalized Chinese proficiency testing should highlight on the target and appropriate use of the "mother tongue".Fourth,the design of the test score system for the nationalized Chinese proficiency testing should be based on the criterion reference test score system.
