"The Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Secondary School Students is a large-scale international Chinese contest aimed at overseas middle school students whose mother tongue is not Chinese. The competition started in 2008 and has been held for nine sessions. This paper mainly studies the tests and the live competition on TV of the "The Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition. On this basis, this paper analyzes the problems the foreign students have in learning Chinese,and further, discusses the implications for the international promotion of Chinese.This paper includes three main parts.The first part introduces the influence and function of "The Chinese Bridge"Chinese students in the world. As the "Chinese fever" swept around the world, the competition attracted more and more friends from all over the world. As a television program, the game is interesting and entertaining. In addition, the competition is not only let foreign students learn Chinese, understand China's platform, but also to show the national soft power, enhance political status.The second part is the introduction of the game and test analysis. The competition is divided into preliminaries and finals. The preliminaries held in the divisions, while the final held in China. The preliminaries are composed of four parts: Chinese language ability, Chinese national knowledge, Chinese cultural skills and comprehensive learning ability, including written examination, speech, talent show and improvisation. The final will be held in Kunming, China. Participants will also be able to experience the local folk culture. The recent five final test are composed by the single topic, fill in the blank,connecting questions and writing questions evolved into a single topic. The form gradually single. Written test questions are comprehensive, basic, representative and connotations and other characteristics.The third part is the game's revelation and advice. The enlightenment of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, vocabulary teaching as the core, in the process of vocabulary teaching grammar teaching and cultural teaching. The enlightenment of the second language learners, foreign students to cultivate the interest of Chinese, explore the connotation, focus on accumulation. In the promotion of Chinese, we can explore new channels of promotion, reduce the government's promotion work, turn to more folk cultural exchanges, also learn from neighboring Japan, South Korea, to strengthen overseas Chinese education, promote China of the boutique entertainment popular culture.
