A Study Of Evaluation System Of Conservation Plan For Large-scale Archaeological Site

Large-scale archaeological sites with great historical,artistic,scientific and cultural values are the material witness of the historical development of society,and also the treasure of cultural heritage.As the acceleration of the process of urbanization in China,the contradiction between large-scale archaeological sites conservation and regional social economic development is becoming more and more serious.Meanwhile,Large-scale conservation work is emphasized by government and public along with people’s increasing awareness of cultural heritage protection.Because of that,the effective activities to coordinate the relationship between conservation and usage of large-scale archaeological sites are extremely urgent.The conservation plan for large-scale archaeological sites as the regulations of standardize the activities on the physical remains and its surroundings play a increasingly important role in defining conservation methods,expending utilizing form,strengthening site management and researches.It becomes the effective way to protect and continue value of large-scale sites well.However,the depth and quality of conservation plan for large-scale archaeological site are uneven due to the influence of archaeological work and plan-making level.At the same time,the existing evaluation methods still need to be further improved in evaluating the accuracy and objectivity of the conservation plan.It is quite necessary to refine the evaluation index,evaluation method and development to establish a perfect evaluation system based on the existing evaluation methods.It also has a great significance for improving the quality and operability of conservation plan for large-scale archaeological site.In the view of this,my dissertation will focus on establishing a evaluation system of making conservation plan for large-scale site which contain several issues,such as the development process of large-scale archaeological site protection,current situation of making conservation plan for large-scale archaeological site,the relationship between archaeology and conservation plan for large-scale archaeological site,the evaluation of making conservation plan for large-scale archaeological site.First,my dissertation systematically reviews the development process of domestic and abroad large-scale sites conservation.I proposed that large-scale archaeological site conversation and its plan were research and operation system which had been truly developed and improved at the end of the last century on the basis of long-term historical practices.The establishment of the concept of the large-scale archaeological reservation was also a process of constantly enrichment and improvement.Meanwhile,according to the analysis of the basic characteristics of Chinese large-scale archaeological sites and the current situation of reservation plan’s edition and implementation,I sum up the characteristics and main problems of the current conservation plans,and interpret the necessity of establishing a evaluation system for the large-scale archaeological sites plans’ making.Second,I clarify the important role which archaeology play in the large-scale archaeological sites protection through reviewing their relationship.I point out that archaeology is the basis and prerequisite of making and implementing the plan for large-scale archaeological sites.Then I clarify the concept and main contents of large-scale site archaeology.According to the characteristics of archaeological work,I analyze and study the contents and key-points of the archaeological work plan at large-scale archaeological sites.On this basis,combining with the plan cases of the 30 large-scale archaeological sites and the main requirements of the relevant laws and regulations,I make the decomposition,selection and combination of index of the content of conservation plan for large-scale archaeological site,verify all the evaluation indexes of conservation plan,expound the importance of evaluating the plan according to the difference of regions and types.By collecting expert questionnaires of evaluation index weight,applying analytical hierarchy process,I calculate the weight result of evaluation indexes.Finally,I establish the evaluation system of conservation plan-making for large-scale archaeological site according to the score criterion of established evaluation indexes.At last,I make some case-study of conservation plan for archaeological sites in different regions and types such as<conservation plan for Yu Wang cheng city site>.While verifying the evaluation system,I summarize the main problems and suggestions of those plans,and achieve a good result,which can provide some reference for the evaluation of conservation plan-making and practices for large-scale archaeological sites in the future.
