| ObjectiveAmong the so many kinds of low back pain,Piriformis syndrome is one of the cause of low back pain,while Among the so many kinds of low back pain,Piriformis syndrome as a common clinical disease which is often misdiagnosed,so that the pain could been unable to effectively solve.correct diagnosis therefore is of high importance.Acupuncture has good curative effect for pains which is accepted by World Health Organisation.So,in this study,we selected acupuncture as the first choise for piriformis syndrome.To observe the curative effect of Huan-tiao point for piriformis syndrome,and with the comparison of common acupuncture,QI-ci method,as well as QI-ci method combined with electrical acupuncture on Huan-tiao points,the clinical effects were observed and analysed.a series of discussion were made about acupoints,acupuncture manipulation,as well as supplementary manipulations,in order to optimized schemes.MethodsIn this study,there were 90 cases of Piriformis syndrome patients.The qualified patients were randomly divided into three groups,and all the patients accepted the Huan-tiao point as the main acupoint.The control group accepted with ordinary acupuncture on Huan-tiao Acupoint,according to the constitution of the patient,the operator inserted the needle perpendicularly and quickly,2cunto 2.5cun in depth.After the arrive of the Qi,the needle was retained for 30 mintues.after the withdrawal of the needle,the pinhole was pressed with sterilized and dry cotton ball for 1 min.while the observation A group treat with Huan-tiao Acupoint by QI-ci method,and according to the constitution of the patient,the operator inserted the needle perpendicularlyand quickly,2 cunto 2.5cun in depth.perpendicularly insert the three needle as a parallel in the piriformis.After the arrive of the Qi,the needle was retained for 30 mintues.after the withdrawal of the needle,the pinhole was pressed with sterilized and dry cotton ball for 1 min.and the observation B group treat with electrical acupuncture on Huan-tiao Acupoint by QI-ci method on piriformis syndrome,the same QI-ci method with observation A group,then used with electro-acupuncture,dilatational wave persisted for 30 minutes.Every group received the treatment five times every week,each time lasted for 30 mins,course of treatment consists of one week,After 4 courses of treatment,the statistic data which include the scores of clinical syndrome,McGill,SF-MPQ-2,and the clinical effect was tested through data analysis.Through simulation and analysis,the paper expound the feasibility and validity of this solution.Results During the process of the project,the patients in three groups accepted the acupuncture treatment,while two patients dropouts during the four courses trial.After one course of treatment,One patient in control group had nothing improved,and then withdraw from the clinical trials.One patient could not able to finish the observation period cause of busy works.During the healing process,the general condition of the patients was well,and no adverse events were observed,such as bent needle,broken needle,fainting,and hurting important organs.The rest patients completed the clinical observation.1.the score of clinical syndrome: before the treatment,compared with the scores of the clinical syndrome,there was no statistics difference statistics(P>0.05),with good balances of distribution.after 4 courses of treatment,the scores of clinical symptoms decreased.And there were significant difference(P<0.01).it indicated that the methods which the study selected could improve the clinical symptoms.Taken the comparsion among the three groups,the observation groups were sharply decreased than the control group(P<0.01),and the observation B group was superior to observation A group(P<0.05).it indicated that electrical acupuncture on Huan-tiao Acupoint by QI-ci method effectively ameliorate clinical symptoms.2.There was no significant different in the scores of McGill before thetreatment(P>0.05),with good balances of distribution.after 4 courses of different treatment,accroding to the scores of PRI,the group which used electrical acupuncture on Huan-tiao Acupoint by QI-ci method had the lowest scores(P<0.01).accroding to the scores of VAS,the scores were decreased,but there was no different between the group B and the group A(P>0.05).accroding to the scores of PPI,the group which used electrical acupuncture on Huan-tiao Acupoint by QI-ci method had the lowest scores(P<0.01).3.the scores of SF-MPQ-2: according to the SF-MPQ-2,there was no statistics difference statistics(P>0.05),before the treatment.after 4course of treatment,the scores of the scores of SF-MPQ-2 decreased.Taken the comparsion among the three groups,the observation groups were sharply decreased than the control group(P<0.05),and the observation B group was superior to observation A group(P<0.05).4.the scores of CODI: before the treatment,comparsion the scores of CODI,there was no statistics difference statistics(P>0.05).after 4 course of treatment,the scores of CODI decreased.And there were significant difference(P<0.01).it indicated that the methods which the study selected could improve the pain of waists and legs.Taken the comparsion among the three groups,the observation groups were sharply decreased than the control group(P<0.05),and the observation B group was superior to observation A group(P<0.05).it indicated that electrical acupuncture on Huan-tiao Acupoint by QI-ci method effectively ameliorate the pain on the waists and legs.5.After 4 course of treatment,the index of the clinical effect was collected.in the control group 4 patients got recovery,and 9 patients had apparent results,10 had effecdtive results and 6 had no effects.the curative rate of the group which treated by ordinary acupuncture method on Huan-tiao Acupoint was 44.82%,in the observation A group 9 patients got recovery,and 10 patients had apparent results,7 had effecdtive results and 3 had no effects,the curative rate of the group which treat with Huan-tiao Acupoint by QI-ci method was 65.52%,in the observation B group 15 patients got recovery,and 9 patients had apparent results,5 had effecdtive results and 1 had no effects,the curative rate of the group which treat with electrical acupuncture on Huan-tiao Acupoint by QI-ci method was 80.00%,the date with significant different(P<0.05).ConclusionIn this study,Huan-tiao Acupoint was selected as the main acupoint,combined with the Qi-Ci acupuncture manipulation and density-wave electrical stimulation,the treatment method received good therapy effect for piriformis syndrome patients.Huan-tiao acupoint belonged to the foot Shao Yang gall bladder meridians,and was the intersecting point of the bladder meridian,it possessed the function of curing effects on the pains in waist and legs.Qi-ci manipulation applied to the depth disease location,which could enhance the regulating of the piriformis,extend the scope of the acupuncture,so as to relieved the muscular spasm.And the dilatational wave had remarkable efficacy in canner pain relief,alleviating the pain of sciatic nerve.the method that electrical acupuncture on Huan-tiao Acupoint by QI-ci was used for piriformis syndrome patients,the Huan-tiao points just sat directly above the piriformis,and the Qi-ci method applies to the pain of deep tissue,and the density-wave electrical stimulation had obvious analgesia action.So the treatment program had satisfactory clinical effectiveness. |
