The Ethical Study Of Doctor-patient Relationship

The doctor-patient relationship,as a microscopic issue for the “carrying out the healthy China initiative”,requires economic supports,legal constraints,and technical support,as well as the ethical agreement and moral criterion of the relationships between doctors and patients.The harmonious doctor-patient relationship deeply implicates the microcosmic logic of “carrying out the healthy China initiative”.The “healthy China initiative” that adheres to the people’s health as the center for the purpose of people’s good life,not only requires top-level design and advanced technology,but also needs the transformation of the technical processes of “prevention of disease” and “treatment of disease” into harmonious and beautiful doctor-patient relationship.The problem-orientation and the core content of this research project.The doctor-patient relationship,as a special business relationship and trust relationship,requires both empirical experimental data and critical theoretical interpretation.This research project insists the orientation of the dual issues of social ethics and technical ethics to analyze the phenomena and sources of the social ethical problems such as the ethical disorder and moral absence of medical profession,medical environment,and medical system in the doctor-patient relationship in contemporary China,from multi-aspects including the lack of doctor’s sense of acquisition,the dissimilation of patient’s sense of seeking medical treatments,and the “medical violence events”.The technical ethical issues and their technical problems,which influence the doctor-patient relationship in contemporary China are deeply analyzed using the opportunities and challenges brought by new medical technologies including organ transplantation,assisted reproduction,and hospice care as empirical data.In order to theoretically interpret and practically solve these issues in the doctor-patient relationship in contemporary China,the author propose the core content of this research project to construct harmonious doctor-patient relationship system in contemporary China from the ethical attributes of doctor-patient relationship,the ethical characteristics of doctor occupation,the weak identity of the patient’s role,and the ethical principles of harmonious doctor-patient relationship.The structural layout and construction frame of this research project.The main body of this article consists of five chapters plus introduction and conclusion.In the first chapter,the ethical issues existing in the doctor-patient relationship in contemporary China are analyzed,oriented by the dual issues of social ethics and technical ethics.The key points of tense are analyzed from the trust crisis of the doctor-patient relationship that is generally concerned;the ethical reasons of tense doctor-patient relationship are analyzed based on the ethical lack of doctor’s sense of acquisition and the ethical dissimilation of patient’s sense of seeking medical treatments;the ethical omission of the medical care system is analyzed based on the “medical violence events” that are most intense events in doctor-patient relationship.The technical ethical issues of doctor-patient relationship in contemporary China bring people with the opportunities and challenges via three new medical technologies including organ transplantation,assisted reproduction,and hospice care have been analyzed from an ethical level and have been technically applied to the ethical dilemmas existing in the medical practice.The second chapter interprets the ethical attributes of the doctor-patient relationship,analyzes the concept of doctor-patient relationship in many angles and practice span,and analyzes the differences and common pursuit of doctors and patients from the ethical perspective,in order to draw the conclusion of the consistency between doctors and patients.In the third chapter,the professional attainment and pursuit of Chinese physicians are analyzed through several classic doctors’ occupational views,and the ethical tension of doctors’ occupation is discussed from the technical and humanistic,self-actuality and making contributions to other people,and diversity and uniqueness of the physician’s profession.From the two aspects of professional skills prestige and professional situation authority,the ethical dimension of physician profession is deeply analyzed.The fourth chapter analyzes the weak tendency of ethics of the role of patient.From the different levels of life,technology,psychology,economy and society,the weak sense of the role of patient is analyzed,and the psychological mechanism of establishing a harmonious doctor-patient relationship is explored from the deconstruction of the patient’s psychological dependence.Finally,the way to help the patients to alleviate the weak role of the patient is analyzed from the environmental variables that affect role of patient.The fifth chapter puts forward and advocates the three ethical principles of constructing the harmonious doctor-patient relationship in contemporary China: the principle of informed consent,the principle of the supremacy of the patient’s life and the principle of trust and justice.This dissertation mainly discusses the characteristics and performance of informed consent of Chinese ethical tradition and the concept of informed consent of "patient participation" in the West.In order to build a theoretical realm of shared and developmental doctor-patient ethics community,hoping to seek a principle of informed consent in accordance with the national conditions of China,that is,the true implementation of informed consent needs synergy of doctors,patients,and family members,through the analysis of the family ethical dilemma of "informed consent".There are three innovations in this dissertation.Firstly,stick to deeply understand the significance of building a harmonious doctor-patient relationship from the perspective of "implementing healthy China strategy".Secondly,adhere to the dual problem orientation of social ethics and technological ethics,and objectively analyze and grasp the true state of doctor-patient relationship in contemporary China.Thirdly,stick to organic consistency between empirical data and speculative theoretical interpretation.The aim is to provide a methodological basis and value orientation for theoretical construction and practice of the ethical community of harmonious doctor-patient relationship in contemporary China.
