The situation of water resources in China has the characteristics of more in the South and less in the North,great changes in the wet and dry seasons,and extremely uneven distribution in time and space.At the same time,due to population growth,economic development and changes in consumption patterns,water demand has also increased substantially,and the contradiction between supply and demand of water resources has become increasingly prominent.It helps to slow down the growth of residents' water use and alleviating the contradiction between water supply and demand to adjust and correct the unreasonable and inefficient residents' water-using behaviors,and promote water conservation as the inner consciousness and behavioral initiative of everyone.Based on China's social background,policy conditions and demographic characteristics,combined with current situation,it necessary to focus on the urban residents' water-saving behaviors,explore the influencing factors,clarify its mechanism,and explore the relationship among psychological cognitive factors,environmental factors and water-saving behaviors,and construct a comprehensive framework to explore the influencing mechanism of water-saving behaviors.It provides micro perspective empirical research experience for water resource management,helps to formulate effective water-saving strategies,urges residents to change the way of water use,and actively saves water,which effectively alleviate the contradiction between supply and demand of water resources and ensure the sustainable use of water resources.This study is to explore the influencing mechanism of urban residents' water-saving behaviors.Based on the review of relevant theories and literatures,the influencing factors of water-saving behaviors are explored and optimized scientifically,water-saving behaviors patterns are proposed and verified.In order to explore the influencing mechanism of urban residents' water saving behaviors,a more comprehensive impact model and some research hypotheses have been put forward,and the quantitative research method is applied to test and correct the model,with the help of questionnaire to obtain data of empirical research.Using the RBF neural network,the urban residents' water-saving behaviors are simulated and analyzed.For groups,the ranking differences of the impacts affecting the water-saving behaviors are objectively evaluated.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Influencing factors of urban residents' water-saving behaviors have been optimized.Based on Grounded Theory and information sensitivity indicators,the influencing factors of water-saving behaviors are optimized,which include knowledge and skills,values,attitude,perception of behavioral effectiveness,subjective norms,situational factors,moral disengagement,intentions,habits and experience of water shortage.(2)Patterns of Urban residents' water-saving behaviors have been definedBased on the existing research,the Hypotheses of water-saving behavioral patterns is proposed,and exploratory research is conducted using factor analysis based on survey data.It has confirmed that there are two patterns of water-saving behavior,which are personal watersaving behaviors and interpersonal water-saving behaviors.Personal water-saving behaviors can effectively reduce the personal water consumption,which is easy to implement.Although it may affect the comfort of life and cost money,it can bring direct economic returns.Interpersonal water-saving behaviors are interpersonal interactions that require time even economic costs of the residents,but it cannot bring direct economic benefits.And it may even lead to conflicts to persuade others to change their behaviors.(3)Influence paths water-saving behavioral impacts have been explored.Based on qualitative research and empirical analysis,the influencing path of urban residents' water saving behaviors are explored.The most important,psychological cognitive factors,which includes knowledge and skills,values,attitude,perception of behavioral effectiveness,and subjective norms,significantly affect the intentions to save water,and the intentions significantly affects personal water-saving behaviors and interpersonal behaviors.And water-saving habits,situational factors,and moral disengagement have significant moderating effects on the impact of intention on water-saving behaviors.Then water-saving behavior of urban residents is different due to different individual characteristics,while the importance ranking of influencing factors of water-saving behaviors are different too.At last,possible innovations include the following:(1)Optimization method of influencing factors of urban residents' water-saving behaviors is put forward.Based on Grounded Theory and information sensitivity indicators,the influencing factors of water-saving behaviors are optimized,which explains the influencing factors from the perspective of behavior decision-makers,and more truly describes the current situation.(2)Patterns and influence model of urban residents' water-saving behaviors are proposed.Based on the literature review,patterns of water-saving behaviors are proposed and verified.Considering economic and non-economic factors,promoting factors and obstructing factors,a more comprehensive model of urban residents' water-saving behaviors is constructed.SEM and multiple regression method are used to verify the model,so as to test and modify the model,and further explore the influencing mechanism of urban residents' water-saving behaviors.(3)Simulation method of urban residents' water-saving behaviors is proposed.Using RBF neural network,the prediction accuracy of psychological cognitive factors,intentions and individual characteristics on water-saving behaviors is objectively evaluated.Based on individual statistical characteristics,the simulation analysis of water-saving behaviors is carried out in groups,which enriches the methods of water-saving behaviors simulation.
