The school space in this paper contains building space and information space with a strong connection between them.With the development of the economy and the advancement of science and technology,especially the emergence of big data and artificial intelligence,the school space plays an increasingly important role in the cultivation of students,which requires the conscious research and development of educators.Therefore,it is both significant and necessary to strengthen the research on school space.In the context of rapid changes of social economy,rapid iteration of science and technology,and rapid development of education itself,it is necessary to make changes to the old school space in order to adapt to the needs of future society for talents and the needs of individualized development of students.This paper based on review of the relevant research literature,defines the connotation and extension of school space from the perspective of architecture,pedagogy,psychology,culturology and informatization.In this study,the man-made objects---the buildings in the school and the space containing the buildings are named together as "school building space".The space combined by the information contained in the books in school,the information generated or obtained from computer network as well as the various attributes given by school buildings themselves,etc.,will be together named as "school information space" in this article.Both the architectural space and the information space are designed and constructed around the enhancement of educational value of the school,supplemented by aesthetic values and economic value.Through introduction of the development of Chinese and foreign school buildings and analysis of the evolution of information space,it provides reference for the evolutionary trendence of school space.Through the introduction of school space design and construction points,it helps to understand various norms and practice trends of the school space construction.All these materials can make a solid foundation for the theory and practice of school space reform.As an object will undergo deformation and reconstruction under the influence of external forces,economic development and scientific and technological progress directly promote the transformation of school space or indirectly promote the transformation of school space through the requirements of educating people.Education itself is also the most important driving force for school space reform.Fair education,namely individualized education,requires students to give play to their endowments,which demands the openness,flexibility and interactivity of the school building space and sharing of school information space.Efficient education requires the improvement of teaching accuracy and learning flexibility,that is,the wisdom of education,which puts forward requirements for the ubiquity,sharing and intelligence of school information space.In turn,the openness,flexibility,and interactivity of the school building space as well as the ubiquity,sharing,and intelligence of the school information space will also promote fair education,efficient education and individualized development of students.On the basis of interview surveys of school users,analysis of literature materials,logicaldeduction of concepts,this paper determines four directions of school space change:security,ecology,openness and intelligence.Safety is the basic requirement of school space construction.Ecology is the emphasis of the nature and life elements in school space.A safe and ecological school space can create a comfortable learning environment.The openness of school space cultivates students' individualized learning and even lifelong learning habits,which can stimulate students' creativity and make students better adapt to society.An intelligent school space reflects the direction of school's future development with a direct impact on students' learning.Whether the theory of school space reform is effective still needs practical argumentation.On the basis of the analysis of the situation before the reform of Huacao School where the author works,the paper determines the ideas,principles and strategies of school space reform,which lead to the practice of space reform of Huacao School.Therefore,the safety and ecology of the school space,the openness,flexibility and interactivity of school space as well as the ubiquity,sharing and intelligence of the school network have been improved a lot to meet the needs of students' individual development.Meanwhile,students' sense of identity with the school and their ability to learn independently have been enhanced.Students' communicative consciousness and ability have also been cultivated.The changes before and after the reform of Huacao School's space indicate the rationality of the theory of school space transformation.At the end of the paper,the author explores the relationship between school space change and the construction of “future schools”.The innovation of this paper is reflected in the following aspects:The paper incorporates the school information space into the school space for discussion and integrates the building space and the information space organically to give a better play to the educational value of the school space.From the perspective of fairness and efficiency,then deduces individuality education and wisdom education,and then deduces to the openness,flexibility and interactivity of the school building space,the ubiquity,sharing and intelligence of the school information space.The relationship among architectural space,information space,individuality education and wisdom education is also reviewed.Starting from the analysis of the driving forces of school space reform,this paper determines the direction of school space change,constructs the school space change theory,demonstrates the effectiveness of the theory through practice and thus looks forward to the future school construction,which is innovative to some extent.
