With the advancement of urbanization,the urban circle with the central city as the core will gradually become the main body of regional competition and cooperation.The development of urban circles at home and abroad indicates that the evolution of urban circles is accompanied by the continuous improvement of comprehensive transportation development level.This paper reviews the history of internationally mature metropolitan areas,uses data from the socio-economic and transportation facilities of the Nanjing metropolitan area in the past 20 years,and analyzes in detail the interactive relationship between the evolution of metropolitan circles and the development of transportation,and formulates a strategic plan for urban development.The circle traffic policy formulation provides theoretical and empirical evidence.Starting from the evolution of domestic and international metropolitan areas and related theories,this paper studies the key features of the metropolitan area of Tokyo and the metropolitan area of London,summarizes the evolution of metropolitan circles and the law of development of transportation,and qualitatively analyzes them.The Interaction Mechanism of Evolution and Transport Development in Urban Circles In the evolution analysis section of the metropolitan circle,the general idea of determining the region’s corresponding circle in the center city is proposed by comparing the central city and the surrounding cities with the economic connection degree of the region.In the empirical research,the data of economic,demographic,and construction land use since 2000 in Nanjing metropolitan area cities were sampled,and the circle corresponding to each district(county)in the surrounding area of Nanjing City was identified.Based on this,the circle features and evolution of the Nanjing metropolitan area were defined.Second,the dissertation studies the development characteristics of metropolitan transportation demand.This paper studies the total passenger and freight traffic in cities in the metropolitan area,the development trend of public transport between the metropolitan area around the metropolitan area(county)and the central city,and the development trend of public transport between the surrounding metropolitan area(county)and the central city.Numerical changes,weight changes,structural changes,distribution changes.With the evolution of the spatial structure of the metropolitan area,the intensity of inter-city linkages in the metropolitan area has increased,and cross-regional collaboration has increased.For the central city to expand the radiation range of public transportation,cities need to build a rapid connection transport system between cities.Third,the thesis studies the characteristics of the development of transport facilities in the metropolitan area.The dissertation makes a qualitative assessment of the role of public(road)roads,railways,water transport,aviation and rail transit in metropolitan area traffic systems.The public road system is the basic system supporting the metropolitan area framework.The railway system and the track system are the links that connect the central city and key development areas.The water transport system still bears part of the freight function within the metropolitan area,and the aviation system is within the metropolitan area.Did not play a significant role.The paper adopts the gravity model function of the trip through the potential travel destination to analyze the accessibility of the central cities of each feature year to other cities.According to the index of accessibility,the process of development of transport facilities in the metropolitan area is marked.The paper takes the data from the construction of public roads,railways,and rail transit facilities in Nanjing metropolitan area since 2000 as a sample to empirically analyze the development of traffic in the Nanjing metropolitan area.Finally,the dissertation analyzes the interaction mechanism between urban circle evolution and traffic development,and analyzes the relationship between urban circle evolution and traffic coupling,and concludes that economic affiliation between the second ring and the first ring is concluded.The degree increases with the improvement of accessibility,and the degree of economic subordination between the third ring,the fourth ring and the first ring shows a declining trend year by year.Through the revision of the economic distance,it has been found that the evolution of traffic patterns and the improvement of traffic conditions have greatly affected the division of metropolitan circles.Rapid urbanization is the basic condition for the evolution of space;the accessibility of transportation networks enhances the basic dynamics of spatial coupling;spatial coupling is the intrinsic link between the joint development of transportation and land.
