Maize is a very important food crop with strategic significance. Nowadays, the development of Chinese agricultural has stepped into a new shortage period of agricultural resources; the production environment is becoming more and more serious. Under this background, it is of great significance to study the influence of mechanized production on the competitiveness of maize industry in China, to crack down on the plight and improve the industrial competitiveness.This paper was based on the theories of competitiveness, industrial competitiveness and agricultural mechanization. By using the SWOT analysis method, the paper got the conclusion that the current disadvantage of maize industry is outstanding, opportunity and challenge both coexist, the development of China's maize industry should choose WO strategy and WT strategy. Based on the factor analysis method, the index systems of international and domestic competitiveness of China's corn industry were established. By using the principal component analysis method, this paper empirically concludes that the international competitiveness of China's maize industry was weak and fluctuating in the world's top ten maize producing countries. By using the partial least squares method,the 11 factors influencing the international competitiveness of China's com industry were sorted. Based on DEA model, the first conclusion was that the improvement of maize production efficiency and planting efficiency were both low in three major crops; the second conclusion was that the efficiency of maize production in China was overall low, the comprehensive technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency all had a greater space to enhance, their significant reliance depended on technological progress. At present, various input elements of maize production were unreasonable;they can all be saved by using advanced and applicable production mode. Based on ESDA analysis, the conclusion was that whole maize production in China had not formed the "H-H" spatial agglomeration type. The provinces with high efficiency had both higher technical efficiency and scale efficiency,while the difference between the technical efficiency and the scale efficiency was relatively large for the provinces with lower efficiency. The correlation between 6 factors and maize production efficiency in China were obtained by regression analysis. This paper established the coupling system and comprehensive evaluation system of "maize mechanized production-industrial competitiveness". The empirical results showed that there was a highly coordinated coupling between maize mechanized production system and Chinese maize industry's competitiveness system, and there were mutual influence and promotion between the two systems. This paper also analyzed how the mechanized production can effectively promote the competitiveness of Chinese maize industry by acting on its main influencing factors. The demand and path of improving the level of maize mechanization production in China were studied. And the six paths were given for current stage to enhance the level of maize mechanized production.
