With the further development of the Social construction,the establishment of the awe of the members of society has become more and more inevitable and necessary requirement of social harmony,stability and development.However,the lack of the sense of awe is a more prominent social phenomenon.For the undergraduates,the lack of the sense of awe is a more common problem.The sense of awe has always played a foundation role from heteronomy to self-discipline for an individual.It plays a decisive role in the formation of personal character,or the maintenance of the mainstream values of the society.Therefore,the research on the problem of the undergraduates' sense of awe,is conducive not only to the healthy growth of individual students,but also to enhancing the effectiveness of Ideological and political education,and to promote the construction of socialist culture and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.The theme of this paper is the sense of awe of the undergraduates.The discourse of this paper is under the guidance of dialectical materialism and historical materialism.The discourse of this paper is guided by the problems existing in reality.The discourse of this paper is based on the organic integration of theory and practice.The research methods and the interview method are used in this paper.This paper discusses “the current situation of the undergraduates' sense of awe”,existing problems,the causes of existing problems and the cultivation of the undergraduates' sense of awe.This paper defines and analyzes the connotation of the sense of awe.The awe is a kind of “respect” and “fear” what the subject owns in facing the sacred or powerful object;the sense of awe is a kind of contradictory compound emotion which is mixed with “respect” and “fear”.The essence of the sense of awe is that a certain social and historical views and values of life are expressed in an emotional;the sense of awe of the undergraduates refers to the complex emotions of “respect” and “fear” which are produced when the the undergraduates facing the noble and powerful object.On the same time of revealing the connotation of awe,the paper also analyzes the characteristics,types,path and other issues of the sense of awe.From the results of the survey,the paper analyses the current situation of the undergraduates' sense of awe.About the undergraduates' understanding of the meaning of the sense of awe,the undergraduates are more from these more positive respect,such as love,and positive perspective;The object of the undergraduates' sense of awe can be divided into four aspects: things,life,rules,and spirit.The undergraduates' positive view of awe is mainly reflected in: positive view of life,healthy moral awe,serious legal awe,and a kind of natural awe.At present,the main problems of the undergraduates' sense of awe are embodied in the lack of sense of awe.The lack of sense of awe embodies in: The understanding of the sense of awe is biased;the sense of awe is lack of clear value orientation;the awe object is limited;The external performance is a certain degree of behavior disorder.The characteristics of the undergraduates' sense of awe are mainly reflected in: the diversity of the understanding of the connotation of the sense of awe;the diversification of the object of awe;the instability of the sense of awe;the sense of awe is not consistent with the internal and external performance;the sense of awe is a hierarchical distribution.On the reasons for the problem of the undergraduates' sense of awe,the main causes of the lack of the sense of awe for life are the following aspects: individual growth environment,the present situation of education,and the individual psychological defect;the main causes of the lack of the sense of awe for morals are the following aspects: the socialist ideals and beliefs are questioned,the traditional cultural authority is abandoned,the impact of multiple values,the spread of utilitarianism.The main causes of the lack of the sense of awe for laws are the following aspects: the influence of the trend of Educational Utilitarianism,the influence of negative social behaviors,the influence of unhealthy psychological tendency.The main causes of the lack of the sense of awe for nature are the following aspects: Anthropocentrism and the weak of the ecological education.About the cultivation of the undergraduates' sense of awe,the paper puts forward countermeasures from the following aspects: cultivating target,cultivating contents,cultivating principles,matters needing attention,specific cultivation means and so on.The goal of Cultivating the undergraduates' sense of awe is divided into three aspects: knowledge goal,ability goal and quality goal;The hierarchical principle,the gradual principle,the pertinence principle,the feedback correction principle and so on are the main principles;The cultivation of t the undergraduates' sense of awe mainly includes: the sense of life awe,the moral sense of awe,the sense of law awe and the sense of awe for nature;The life narrative,the peak experience,the legal awe,and the natural ecological survey are the main ways to cultivate students' sense of awe.
