Research On Multi-project Management Of Large-scale Construction Enterprise

Large-scale construction enterprises are typically project-based enterprises. With the project management changing from single-project management to multi-project management, more and more large-scale construction enterprises face new management problems due to the increasing number of projects, the scale and region expansion. The difficulty and complexity of construction enterprise management increase greatly. In this case, how to establish reasonable multi-project management processes in order to achieve effective management of multiple projects in the same period has become an urgent problem. Taking large construction enterprises as example, based on existing research theories, the thesis builds a multi-project management operation system in order to provide some experiences for construction enterprises, to improve the skills of construction enterprises project management, to realize the overall strategic objectives of construction enterprises.This dissertation researches mainly from the following aspects.The dissertation studies the basic theories of multi-project management. Firstly, the dissertation further analyzes the concept of project management, summarizes its characteristics, classification, principle and content. Then compares the multi-project management and general-project management, finds out the differences between them. And then, analyzes the division standard of large-scale construction enterprises and summarizes the characteristics of large-scale construction enterprises. The dissertation also analyzes the main concept of multi-project management combined with the characteristics of large-scale construction enterprises.Organization management of large-Scale construction enterprises:Based on problems of existing organization patterns, this dissert puts forward certain requirements of constructing corresponding organizations. Accordingly process-oriented organization structure is then raised. Besides, a support institution-project management office is also constructed.Resource optimization and disposal of large-scale construction enterprises: firstly, it analyses key resources of multi-project management; then it presents possible resource optimization scheme; then it constructs a multi-project progress optimization model according to resource-constrained project scheduling based on critical chain. Information support platform of large-Scale construction enterprises:it firstly analyses information process of multi-project management, then it constructs a framework of information support platform. Afterwards, it analyses those key sub-systems of the information support platform.Performance appraisal of large-Scale construction enterprises:it constructs a index system from resource distribution, information management, multi-project coordination and multi-project management results. Then it presents a numerical example with the application of D-S evidence theory.Risk management of large-Scale construction enterprises:it elaborates the principles of multi-project management of large-scale construction enterprise; then it probes into risk identification, risk assessment and risk control respectively.To sum up, it is expected to possess some theoretical values and practical experiences to multi-project management of large-scale construction enterprise.
