A Study On The Development Of Exhibit Design Concept In Chinese Museology

Exhibit design include exhibit content design and exhibit form design. Exhibit design concept comes from the museum display work practice and the designer’s creative ideas, it also display the essence of the museum design phenomenon, the systematic thinking of design practice. Exhibit design concept include the exhibit design master planning, design tools and methods, design materials, design style, design evaluation, design management, etc.The main research contents and findings of this paper include the following:(1) Based on explored the Chinese museum exhibit design concept in19th century, it is said that a system exhibit design concept of this period has not;(2) In accordance with discussed the museum exhibit design’s concept after the founding of New China, it is considered that this period Chinese museums study from the Soviet Union’s museums, the display of art and design with a strong political attributes;(3)In light of discussed the museum exhibit design’s concept after China’s Reform and Opening up period, it can be said that although the museum exhibit design concept make a big step forward in this period, the thought of research in general is still insufficient;(4) With an analysis on the museum exhibit design concept of the new century, it is proposed that China museum exhibit design have a larger development, but we need to introduce the scientific assessment process in practice;(5) The overall conclusions pointed out that the Chinese museum design concept was advanced development, in the development process in a variety of outside influences on the strong side, and endogenous drive weaker.Some suggestions of this paper for the future development of Chinese museum exhibit design:(1) Strengthen the exhibit designers museology knowledge and cultural literacy;(2) Regulate the museum deepening design;(3) Better manage the bidding work of the museum exhibit design;(4) Establish exhibit design professional and disciplines;(5) Explore with Chinese characteristics, local characteristics and personality characteristics of museum exhibit design.
