| Chinese language and culture education in Malaysia is a typical case of overseas Chinese retain and outstand ethnic identity, Malaysia overseas Chinese teacher is a typical case of the survival and development of overseas Chinese teachers.The study on the historical evolution of overseas Chinese teachers in Malaysia not only has important reference value for better development of overseas Chinese teachers training of China and other countries in Southeast Asia, but also contribute to our understanding of the fighting and adherence process about ethnic minorities retain and outstand ethnic identity in immigrant countries. The history of Chinese language and culture education in Malaysia is a history of fighting on overseas Chinese society and the unit of the educational policy in the country. From the1906" Penang Chinese Normal School" to the2006"education department of new era college", the history of teachers Education about one hundred years in Chinese community is an important part of the history of Chinese language and culture education in Malaysia. The problem of Overseas Chinese teachers is a mirror reflecting the social development of Malaysian Chinese society, is also a key of perspective Malaysian Chinese society development.In this paper, using document method, case study method and field survey method, study the historical evolution of Malaysia overseas Chinese teachers and the current development problems. In view of the uniqueness of the problem itself, in the longitudinal structure, the paper mainly embarks from the history of the development process, taking development characteristics showing the overseas Chinese teachers in different historic periods as the stage division basis; at the same time, in order to highlight fighting and adherence of overseas Chinese teachers, in the transverse structure, mainly from the fighting of overseas Chinese teachers and no reasonable linguistic and cultural policy of the authorities, reappearing appeal and action of the Chinese community. From the perspective of content, the paper mainly studies the various historical periods of the policy of Chinese language and culture education and overseas Chinese teachers and overseas Chinese teachers response to these policies, at the same time, this paper also focuses on overseas Chinese teachers training content, form of organization and characteristics in the process of fighting and adherence, grasping the historical development context, to restore the true state of the Malaysia overseas Chinese teachers. The paper analyzes the problems of Malaysia overseas Chinese teachers from the perspective of multidisciplinary of political science, ethnology and cultural studies. Malaysia overseas Chinese teachers experienced five development stages, such as preliminary development, localization, national, double-track system and specialization. The development course of Malaysia overseas Chinese teachers are the process of fighting and adherence that overseas Chinese as a minority in immigrant countries retain and outstand ethnic identity, this fighting and adherence process reproduce the historical change process of minority language education in immigrant society. The development of the Chinese language and culture education in Malaysia is inseparable from the fighting and adherence of overseas Chinese teachers. Harmonious ethnic relations is the fundamental guarantee of survival and development of overseas Chinese teachers in Malaysia, normal political participation is the political premise for survival and development of overseas Chinese teachers, overseas Chinese teachers play an important role in the process of Malaysian Chinese culture heritage, the fighting and adherence of overseas Chinese teachers become heavy power to the development of Chinese language and culture education, to retain and outstand ethnic culture, overseas Chinese teachers still take a heavy burden and embark on a long road. Through the study, we believe that other countries in Southeast Asia should take the minority language education into the national education system, overseas Chinese teachers should adhere to the concept of" beyond the parties, but not beyond the political ", China should provide guarantee for professional development of overseas Chinese teachers, overseas Chinese teachers training should follow the combination road of the internationalization and localization, the government of Malaysia should continue to adhere to the culture adaptation model of ethnic equality. |
