As the beneficiary of Chinese education,the group of Chinese students in Malaysia is a direct reflection of the new generation’s cognition and acceptance of Chinese language education.The student group is also a driving force for the future development of language and cultural education in Malaysia.Mastering the Chinese language and cultural identity of the student group and the cognition of Chinese education in the relevant research fields is one of the factors to ensure the sustainable development of Chinese education in Malaysia.Therefore,the author chose to carry out investigation and research through questionnaires,targeting Chinese students from various types of secondary schools in Selangor state and the Capital city-Kuala Lumpur,including Chinese students from Chinese Independent secondary schools,National secondary schools,and National-type secondary schools.This study analyzes and compares their language,cultural identity differences and Chinese language education cognition with relevant theoretical dimensions,and the questionnaire contains 129 factors,which are divided into two parts,namely Chinese language and cultural identity and Chinese language education cognition and attitude.The results of the survey used SPSS 24 statistical software to describe statistics,T-test and one way ANOVA variances to analyze and compare the identity and cognitive differences among Chinese students in various types of secondary schools.This paper consists of five chapters.Chapter 1: Introduction,which includes research summary and results related to the topic,research object and method,concept definition and questionnaire design introduction.The second chapter is an overview of the history and current situation of Chinese society and Chinese language education in Malaysia.Chapter 3 is the investigation and analysis of Chinese language and culture.There were no significant differences in language identity among Chinese students in various types of secondary schools,while there were significant differences in cultural cognition and cultural behavior tendencies among students in terms of cultural identity.Chapter 4 is the investigation and analysis of Chinese educational cognition.According to the analysis,Chinese students in various types of secondary schools receive Chinese language education mostly because of the influence of their elders and agree that Chinese education is the fundamental of Chinese society culture.The survey also found that different types of secondary education system affect students’ cognition and attitude towards Chinese language education.Chapter 5 is based on the results of the questionnaire survey and analysis to summarize the identity,attitude differences and trends between different types of Chinese students in secondary schools,to reflect on the results of the survey,and then to provide reference advice for Malaysia Chinese language educators.
