Allergic rhinitis is one of the most common allergic diseases in China. It’s a kind of allergic diseases with nasal mucosa inflammation as the main symptom, which happened after nasal mucosa exposuring to allergens. In the recent twenty years, the worse air quality because of the air pollution; the increasing life rhythm and work pressure; the lack of physical exercise, all that increased Allergic rhinitis incidence year by year, and showed a trend of global rising. Although the disease is not death, but the nasal symptoms and general feeling of discomfort is obvious, which affect the patient’s health and quality of life, work and study seriously. At present, the current treatment of allergic rhinitis aims to control the symptoms with Corticosteroids, antihistamines, mast cell stabilizer, fight choline medicine, nasal decongestants, immunotherapy (desensitization) etc. Those treatments need to insist on taking medicine for a long time, and shows low efficacy and high recurrence rate after the drug was stopped. It also have different degrees of side effects, and easy to produce drug dependence. Those disadvantages affect the patients’health, bring huge inconvenience to patient’s life, work and learning. Moreover, allergic rhinitis often come back repeatedly, and need to insist for a long time treatment. The long course of treatment would reduce the patient’s compliance, which means patients cannot insist on treatment, so that the disease cannot be effectively controlled. Therefore, to explore a treatment with curative effect, shorter course treatment, and less treatment time, low recurrence rate is one of the important task.ObjectiveUnder the guidance of the principle of randomized, the study used the self-blood injection acupuncture to treat allergic rhinitis. By observing the blood therapy’s clinical curative effect, recurrence and the improvement of the life quality, we evaluate the short-term and long-term effect of the self-blood injection acupuncture in treating the allergic rhinitis, so as to look for a better treatment method with definite effect and low recurrence for the of allergic rhinitis.MethodsSixty cases of allergic rhinitis patients collected from the HuangYushin Chinese medical clinic(2014.5-2014.9), which met the inclusion criteria, were randomly divided into the treatment group of 30 patients (self-blood injection acupuncture group) and control group of 30 patients (normal acupuncture group), according to the method randomized controlled trial. Grouping method:write the random Numbers above the CARDS of the same size, put the card into each envelope. The patients randomly selected a envelope to get a card and a random number. Maked the patients got odd number mantissa in treatment group (the own-blood therapy group), and maked the patients corresponds with the number, or 0 in the treatment group (the common acupuncture group). Balance the two groups of cases. The treatment:the treatment group pointed Feishu and Bailao. Extracted 2ml the elbow venous blood and injected into Feishu or Bailao two times a week (one time for 3 days, the other for 4 days). Two groups of acupoints injected alternately. The total of treatment take 4 weeks. The control group pointed: main acupoints:Yingxiang, Kouheliao, Ashixue, Feishu, Zusanli, Combination different points according to different syndrome:lung deficiency with cold syndrome use Taiyuan, spleen qi deficiency syndrome use pishu and qihai, kidney yang deficiency syndrome use shenshu and mingmen. Retaining needle for 30minutes, and manipulating needle in Yingxiang every 5 minutes. We manipulate needle in Ashi Point Acupuncture and withdraw the needle immediately when the Nasal hemp inductance appeared. The remaining points did no manipulation. Treat in every other day,3 times a week, rest for 3 days in the last time of the week. The total of treatment take 4 weeks. We made the comparison of the clinical effect in the three time points: two weeks and four weeks after treatment, six months follow-up after treatment. The clinical efficacy is evaluated with the symptoms and signs of quantitative assessment, and rhino conjunctivitis quality of life questionnaire(RQLQ). We made comparison from the aspect of symptoms and signs to ease, rhinitis patient related quality of life scores and relapse of two groups patients’to observe the clinical efficacy. We used Excel to establish the database, and used SPSS19.0 statistical software to analyze the final data for last processing. The mean ± standard deviation was used to respresent measurement data. And we used independent sample T-test to make comparison between groups, used paired T-test to compared with before and after their own. We analyzed the orderly classification data (level data) by the Mann-Whitney rank and inspection, and analyze the disorderly classification data by chi-square test. If clinical data of tested respectively, P values< 0.05 is considered the difference was statistically significant.Results(1) In the result,1 case of patient in the study requested to quit from our test for personal reasons. Finally we collected a total of 59 cases of complete examples:the control group have 29 cases while treatment group have 30 cases. Compared the two groups patients with gender, age, course of the disease, illness severity and other general information before data analysis, the result shows that there were no statistically significant difference after statistics analysis, which means two groups data were comparable.(2)the clinical curative effect:Compared the clinical curative effect in the treatment of 2 weeks,4 weeks and 6 months after treatment. After 2 weeks treatment, the treatment group have 9 cases of markedly effect,19 cases of effective, and 2 cases of ineffective, the total effective rate was 93%; while the control group have 4 cases of markedly effective,18 cases of effective,7 cases of ineffective, the total effective rate was 75.86%. There was no statistically significant difference in the two groups of clinical curative effect. That means, after 2 weeks treatment, the blood therapy group and common acupuncture treatment group both have has good clinical efficacy in treating allergic rhinitis, and two groups of curative effect is similar. After 4 weeks treatment, the treatment group have 22 cases of markedly effect,7 cases of effective, and 1 cases of ineffective, the total effective rate was 96.67%; while the control group have 14 cases of markedly effective, 12 cases of effective,3 cases of ineffective, the total effective rate was 89.66%. There was statistically significant difference in the two groups of clinical curative effect. That means, after 4 weeks treatment, the blood therapy group and common acupuncture treatment group both have has good clinical efficacy in treating allergic rhinitis, and the own-blood injection therapy group is better than common acupuncture therapy group in the terms of curative effect. The follow-up after the treatment of 6 month, the treatment group have 20 cases of markedly effect,9 cases of effective, and 1 cases of ineffective, the total effective rate was 96.67%; while the control group have 12 cases of markedly effective,12 cases of effective,5 cases of ineffective, the total effective rate was 82.76%. There was statistically significant difference in the two groups of clinical curative effect. That means, after 6 month follow-up of the treatment, the blood therapy group and common acupuncture treatment group both have has good long-term clinical effect in treating allergic rhinitis, and the own-blood injection therapy group is better than common acupuncture therapy group in the long-term clinical effect.(3) Signs and symptoms of quantitative:Compared two groups of signs and symptoms of patients with quantitative evaluation in 2 weeks and 4 weeks after treatment. The results showed that there was no statistical difference between groups in the comparison of the 2 weeks after treatment of symptoms and signs, but there was statistical difference in the 4 weeks after treatment. Which means that both treatment group and control group improved the signs and symptoms of allergic rhinitis in 2 weeks after treatment; while the treatment group could effectively improve the quality of life in patients with allergic rhinitis in 4 weeks after treatment.(4) Life quality scores of rhinitis patient:Compared two groups Life quality scores of rhinitis patient before treatment and 6 months follow-up. The results showed that before treatment, the difference in two groups’RQLQ score is no significant, which means two groups is comparable; but after treatment the result is opposite. There were significant difference in two groups’RQLQ score comparison of before and after the treatment. Those means that both treatment group and control group improved life quality scores of rhinitis patient, and the effect of treatment group was better than the control group.(5) recurrence rate:In the 6 months follow-up after treatment, we compared two groups’recurrence rate. According to the results, the treatment group have 16 patients relapsed,14 patients without recurrence, and the recurrence rate was 53.33%, while the control group recurrence rate was 79.31%. There was statistically significant difference in the two groups of recurrence rate, which showed that treatment group had lower recurrence rate than control group.ConclusionAllergic rhinitis is a recurrent nasal immune reaction of inflammatory disease. Clinical treatment is mainly aim to control symptoms, which need to insist on taking medicine for a long time, and with low curative effect, also with high recurrence rate after the drug was stopped, and with varying degrees of side effects. It is easy to produce drug dependence, plus the treatment duration is too long, which reduce the patient’s compliance easily. Patients always cannot insist on treatment, which affect the health of patients, and bring huge inconvenience to patient’s life, work and learning. Traditional Chinese medicine of acupuncture can stimulate acupoints meridian, regulatie body functions through channel transfer. It have the effect of drainage fill virtual to real, resist the disease evil, restore its balance. The therapy has long curative effect in certain advantages. Understanding from the perspective of modern medicine, acupuncture therapy can affect the body’s neuroendocrine system, immunologic system and regulate the body’s function to treat disease. The self-blood injection therapy combined with bloodletting, acupuncture and acupoint injection of traditional Chinese medicine therapy, It selects accurate acupoints, with reliable terapeutic effect and low cost, and it is safe, easy to operate. The therapy regulate the body’s nonspecific immune function through self-blood stimulating acupuncture points local, so as to adjust human body environment, reduce the sensitivity of the human body to the outside of the trigger, enhance immunity function, which make it played a unexpected satisfactory curative effect in the clinical treatment of autoimmune diseases. From our study,we confirms that both self-blood injection therapy group and normal acupuncture group had effective treatment of allergic rhinitis. It can improved the symptoms, signs and life quality of rhinitis patients. Both of them are effective choices to treat allergic rhinitis. Compared the two therapies, the self-blood injection therapy group is more obviously effective and had lower recurrence rate than normal acupuncture therapy, which is worthly wide popularized in the clinical.
