The Estimated And Assessed Study On The Regional Urban-rural Integration

Cities and rural areas are the two regions of specific meanings, which differ in many aspects of economy, society, politics, culture and living. Whereas, they are also characterized by their mutual dependence and influence, namely, they are inclined to develop harmoniously accompanied by friction and contradiction. It is an inevitable tendency that cities and rural areas coexist with the successive phases from isolation and opposition to openness and harmony, finally, achieve urban-rural integration. But in China, the two areas are isolated and shaped into urban-rural dual structure due to various kinds of complicated reasons. Therefore, it is the main topic to adjust the urban-rural relationship to change the urban-rural dual structure into urban-rural integration.Regional urban-rural integration as the main thread, based on the corresponding theory of urban-rural development, regional economics, econometrics and information science, the study focused on the theory, measures and evaluation indicator system of regional urban-rural integration with the ideas of system analysis and comprehensive evaluation as well as the combination of logic analysis and empirical analysis. Furthermore, it performed empirical research on the regional urban-rural integration of Henan province.The primary contents of the study are as follows: the dynamic mechanism and theory analysis of formation and evolvement of regional urban-rural integration, which elucidated the definition and main contents of regional urban-rural integration from multi-angle of views; the methodology and the ideas of multi-indicator comprehensive evaluation methods to measure regional urban-rural integration; the empirical analysis of comprehensive evaluation and regional diversities of regional urban-rural integration development in Henan province; monitoring and early warning of regional urban-rural integration development in Henan province; the strategy plan and measures of regional urban-rural integration development in Henan province.From the study, it was concluded that, firstly, regional urban-rural integration is not only a development process but an ultimate object of urban-rural relationship evolution, whose development mode reflects the opinion of regional integrated development and sustainable development; secondly, the multi-indicator comprehensive evaluation method is suitable for measuring regional urban-rural integration and the Analytic Network Process model is appropriate to set the weight of regional urban-rural integration indicator system; thirdly, the comprehensive...
