Manufacturing industry plays more important role in our economy, various AMT extensive application has promoted manufacturing industry development, raised total level of the manufacturing business enterprise. But we also need to see that the AMT can not still attain to expect the result completely, among them, very important reason is that old production process is not match AMT. So, how to reengineering it in the increasingly AMT environment is a worthy thorough research problem. Rely on the BPR theory and systems engineering methodology, the method of reengineering the manufacturing industry production process through AMT and under the AMT environment is studied. The main research work of this paper is as follows:To reengineering production process based on AMT, the interactive relations of AMT and production process are to be studied. Base on former classification, the AMT has been re-classified; to reflect the characteristic of the production process from four aspects, and to divide production process into three sub-processes. The function mechanism of all advanced manufacturing technologies to production process was analyzed, and put forward the concept of the degree of synergy of the AMT and production processes first time, the method to calculate it was also been given.The model abstraction of the production process is the premise of reengineering the production process. After comparing various modeling method, the integrated modeling method that combine IDEF0 and Petri nets was ascertained, three process of production process were described with model.Production process reengineering(PPR) method has been proposed,that is , rely on AMT to deal with the relation contained in the Petri net connection matrix, to realize the purpose of PPR.PPR is a systems engineering, it needs support of organization renovation. Based on analysising the relation of PPR and organization renovation, the nes structure has been designed that is suit to new production process, and the characteristic and corresponded mechanism of the new organization structure have been studied, carried on the research to the feat corporate culture type at the same time. The suitable organization structure has also been proposed.The scientific evaluation on production process effect is an important step, which can check the reengineering project result in order to continue a new reengineering in aftertime. According to the request of time-based competition and synergy of AMT and production process, the indications system that evaluates the effect of production process is established. On the base of comparing various evaluation methods, according to characteristics and request of the production process, the grey-clustering appraisement is ascertained to evaluate the production process reengineering effect, and the evaluation model is also given.Finally, using an automobile wheel hub enterprise as an example, on the base of investigating its production process, using frontal chapter research conclusion, the project to reengineering production process is provided, the indication variety after the project implementation is forecasted, the reengineering effect is comprehensively evaluated, the result indicate that the given reengineering method is viable.The PPR is combined with AMT in this paper, the research results have stronger leading meaning, they can make production process reengineering more scientifically, and make AMT match production process mutually the biggest degree, and also enrich the theories contents of the business process reengineering.
