Convergence Of Transportations And Telecommunications Networks And Its Evaluation Index Architecture

Recently, transportation industry has made great achievements. While with the rapid development of Chinese economy, the transportation capacity, management and service level have become insufficient to meet the demand for economy development. The transportation communication networks undertake the missons of transportation management and public service.However, they have severe shortcomes including low utilization of information network resources and few applications of new technology. In the meantime, customers'high demand for real-time traffic information distributing in present transportation information networks will be crucial for future profit. Therefore, the convergence of transportation communication networks and telecommunications networks will realize the integration and utilization of communication resources, improve the benefit of transportation industry and telecom industry, and promote the development of entire economy system.This dissertation analyzes the theme, approach, strategy and practice of convergence between transportation communication networks and telecommunications networks, which has the value for theme research and is capable of guide and reference to the future development of transportation industry and telecommunication industry.The methodology employed in this paper includes literature review, Delphi, questionnaire, Analytic Hierarchy Process, Artificial Neural Networks-Back Propagation Neural Network and other modeling method.This dissertation ingestigates the convergence foundation between transportation communication networks and telecommunications networks, as well as the necessity and feasibility for the convergence. In light of the practical development condition of transportation communication networks and telecommunications networks and potential industry barriers in the progress of convergence in China, this dissertation comes up with the route and strategy for convergence of transportation communication networks and telecommunications networks, and puts forward specific countermeasures for execution.Meanwhile, it makes use of the convergence strategy of transportation communication networks and telecommunications networks to conduct research on the future development of ITS.In this dissertation,new dynamic evaluation model for intelligent transport information system is proposed.The new model is suitable for Chinese current development situation.The innovations of this dissertation are:First, basing on the research of network convergence theory as well as properties of transportation industry and telecommunication industry, this paper proposes the convergence strategy of transportation information networks and telecommunication networks. Second, this paper comes up with the dynamic evaluation model for intelligent transport information system which improves and completes the ITS evaluation system.Third, concrete practical approaches referring to the aspects of basic facilities, business implement, data integration, decision making support and public services for transportation information networks and telecommunication networks are proposed in this dissertation, which will be referred in the future development of transportation industry and telecommunication industry.
