The Construction And Analysis On Model Of Distance Learning Support System Based On Grid

Distance education in China has a vigorous development, and currently it has been shifting from quantity to quality. Therefore, sharing educational resources and offering favorable learning support services are efficient ways now to improve the quality of distance education and they are also the core of the modern distance education. Though the sharing and the service are emphasized in current distance education, they are still in a lower level and can't meet the current need. The great application projects can be accomplished by taking use of the grid's connection all kinds of resources and its efficient jointed calculation. So the analysis on learning support-based on the grid is theoretically and practically significant.Based on the background of Radio & TV University's constructing the public services system of education, the paper studies the trans-area resources sharing through utilizing the grid technology in views of the insufficient teaching system, and it constructs the model system in which teachers resources can be shared and learners can do individually. Furthermore, the relevant achievement of this paper has reached offers the theoretical basis for the development of learning support system based on grid and shifting to be in a grid circumstance from the existing system.Guided by the distance education theory and the learning support service theory and based on the background of the large-scale distance learning support, the paper shows the idea that the emphasis of distance education is resources sharing and learning interaction, also it designs the distance learning system model (DLSM). On this basis, the paper studies the three constituent elements in distance education system and designs the distance learning support system model (DLSSM) .In views of the too many logins in the current teaching system and the independent operation of the teaching and management system, the paper analyzes the function of the learning support system and constructs GrDLSSM in order to take use of the grid techonology and integrate all kinds of learning support system and resources database as well as management system on the basis of which resources sharing is done in a more great extent.In views of the wide-area, heterogeneous, trans-organization, dynamic characters of distance education, the paper constructs the distance learning resources system model (DERGSM). On this basis, the paper constructs applicant example of distance learning resources grid system model within Radio & TV University. Besides, the paper studies the main factors which restrain the resources sharing and analyzes the sharing mechanism and the operation efficiency of the distance learning resources grid system.To the current lack of personalized learning support and insufficient sharing of qualified tutors, the paper advises to creat a"virtual tutor"in learning support who is supposed to integrate the resources of distance education tutors and offer learners personalized service.Based on the advantages of Agent technology solution, the paper analyzes the application requirements of Agent technology in learning support system, builds the Agent-based distance learning support system model, introduces its systematic structure and working processes, and designs detailedly the resource retrieval model and retrival process by mobile Agent technology.
