The essential topic of this thesis is about the allocation of creative resources in publishing industry.The essential standpoints are as follows:allocation of creative resources is the important aspect of the development of publishing industry,the target is to make good use of the creative resources so as to realize the economy of scale;this target can be reached by the interaction between media taking advantage of sharable input.The text consists of five parts: part I analyzes the interaction between printed media.First,we introduce the historical background and industrial basis of the interaction between printed media: the modernization of communication technology,the innovation of printing technology,the improvement of transportation,the formation of the business society and the civic class ,and the dominant role which the non-state publishing enterprises played in the publishing industry; The complicate division between publishing industries can be seen as the major sign of the development of publishing industry in modern time,this is the basis for the interaction between printed media. Secondly, we discuss the patterns of interaction between printed media:the serial story and its book in total,book and series.The publication of serial story in periodicals can take advantages of the sharable input of periodicals;And the book format of serial story can take advantages of the sharable input of serial publishing;The publication of series can take advantages of the sharable input in the processes of editing,printing,releasing in the big publishing enterprises. At last, we analyze the effects of interaction between printed media,these are follows:the complementary nature ,the low cost,and the partial importance for the development of publishing industry.Part II analyzes the interaction between publishing and film-TV.First,we introduce the historical background of the interaction between publishing and film-TV: that is the imbalanced development between publishing and film-TV: Publishing industry advanced further than film-TV industry in the early republic china; During the years from 1958 to 1978, both publishing and film-TV got stagnant development; From 1978 to 1985, publishing industry advanced further than film-TV industry; But film-TV industry has got faster development than publishing industry since the year of 1985.The imbalanced development between publishing and film-TV makes interaction between publishing and film-TV necessary,and the further development of whichever industry gives the sharable input for the interaction between publishing and film-TV. The effects of interaction between publishing and film-TV are as follows: the complementary nature, the high cost, and the partial importance for the development of publishing industry and film-TV industry.PartIII discusses the interaction between internet and other media.First,we introduce the historical background of net-work publishing,including the development stage of net-work publishing; the characteristics of net-work publishing,such as the advance of the products,the net-work circulating,the simplification of publishing processes,the interactivity of publishing,the individuality of the content,the pluralism of means for reading. Secondly,we discuss the patterns of interaction between internet and other media,including the convergence of media and the division of media.The convergence of media refers to the fact that in network circumstance media merge with each other,and the message transmitter and receiver can exchange their role with each other. The division of media refers to the fact that in network circumstance, the convergence of media will results in the imbalanced development among media,which requires the division of labor according to the relative advantage of different media. At last, we point out that the substitution effect is the main characteristics of interaction between internet and other media, and give reasons to this problem as follows: the interaction between internet and other media plays an role in the development of publishing industry so important that the interaction is taking place in all fields; The internet and other media embrace as well as substitute with each other; The sharable input which is key for the complementary nature of interaction is absent due to the lack of sound cooperation among media enterprises.Part IV explores the newest forms of net-work publishing.First,we introduce the background of e-book,mobile telephone e-book,publishing on demand,books coming from blog. Secondly,we elaborate the problems posing for the development of the newest forms of net-work publishing.As to the development of e-book,the instability and infancy of the technology,the lack of characteristic in the content restructuring,the piracy of copyrights and the traditional reading habit are the major problems yet to be overcome.As to the mobile telephone e-book,the lack of stable cooperation among different media enterprises holds back its development.With respect to the publishing on demand, the technology and equipments are backward, the traditional publishing can not give effective support for the development of publishing on demand . As regards books coming from blog,it is required that only these blogs with individuality,deep thinking and effective index for reference are suitable for book . Finally,we discuss the application of the newest forms of net-work publishing in books marketing.Part V is the conclusion of the whole text.First is the generalization of the main pointviews of this thesis: the historical development of communication technology; the comparative advantages of different media; the communication technology is the prerequisite for the sharable input;the division of labor among media industries makes the patterns of allocation of creative resources opulent; interaction among media can prolong the value chain; the effects of interaction among media are different from each other. Secondly, we point out the major problems relating to the interaction among media,such as the administration systems,the construction of information projects,the personnel problem,the construction of industry chain,the protection of copyright. Finally,we put forward some measures responding to the problems mentioned above: including the reforming of administration systems,pacing up the construction of information projects,the cultivation of compound personnel,reinforcing the construction of industry chain,strengthening the protection of copyright.
