The field type time grating displacement sensor, based on time space coordinate transformation, is one novel angular displacement sensor. The theory of using time to measuring space has broke through the concept of the traditional grating type measuring in time grating sensor and has advantage in many aspects.The field type time grating has gotten great achievements in many fields and is in the way of industrializing. Some problems come out in the way: the rotary magnetic field is based on windings of the traditional AC motor. The motor as one power plant has low demand to the uniformity of windings. Although time grating has lower demand to the manufacturing precision than the raster, to some degree, it has some demand to the precision as the high precision sensor. All the things have become one obstacle in the way, so our all work is to find one better method to reduce the dependence on the precision manufacturing and cost.One new method for using directly the time space standing wave to form time traveling wave is firstly proposed based on analysis of wave equation in time grating. The design thought of designing the space traveling wave as the coordinate with uniform velocity and getting the time traveling wave by the electromagnetic coupling is discarded in the new design method. And the structure and manufacturing technique will be simplified greatly. According to the method, the two projects of photoelectric type traveling wave forming and magnetoresistance type traveling wave forming have been put forward. The main contents and innovation are as follows:(1)Firstly divide the traveling wave into"the space traveling wave"and"the time traveling wave", and the character of the space traveling wave is advancing and retreating on the displacement x coordinate and the character of the time traveling wave is leading and lagging on the time t coordinate based on the viewpoint of wave equation. It make the viewpoint of time and space clearer in the time grating.(2)The concept that the magnetic traveling wave is the space traveling wave and the electric traveling wave is the time traveling wave is firstly proposed. The transformation of the two kinds of traveling waves shows that the time grating displacement sensor using the transformation from the space traveling to the time traveling wave to reach the target using time to measuring space. Moreover, the innovative thought of directly forming the time traveling wave comes out.
