Stand-off air to surface missiles have a lot of advantages such as stand-off launch, cruise flying and precision attack etc, and are becoming more and more important in modern wars. The most effective method to improve execution is to ameliorate guidance precision of the stand-off missile. This dissertation studies INS error compensation, compound navigation, IR imaging terminal guidance and related key technologies. The important contributions and creative achievements are summarized as follows:1. The INS signal filtering techniques using wavelet transform are studied. The INS random excursion and gravity abnormity signal are denoised respectively using the wavelet transform. An INS signal filtering method and a gravity abnormity filtering method based on stationary wavelet transform are presented. The filtering effects of stationary wavelet outperform the effects of traditional orthogonal wavelet.2. The terrain aided navigation algorithm using particle filter is studied. The particle filter based on Bayesian estimation is investigated in this dissertation. The divergency phenomenon of particle filter can be overcomed by using the unscented kalman filter to determine the important function. A new terrain aided navigation algorithm based on unscented particle filter is presented, the experimental results show that the particle filter can resolve the nonlinear estimation effectively, and it presents higer filtering precision.3. The characters of IR targets and backgrounds are researched, and the traditional IR image processing methods are reviewed. The gray scale adjustment and histogram equalization are analyzed. Aiming at image denoising, firstly the different noise distribution and the traditional linear and nonlinear filtering methods are analyzed. Secondly, the multifractal image denoising methods are summarized. Lastly, an image filtering algorithm based on statistically modeling steerable pyramid coefficients is proposed. Each neighborhood of pyramid coefficients is modeled as a gaussian scale mixture model. This model can interpret the marginalized distribution and joint distribution of coefficients. Experimental results show that the proposed method not only eliminates the gaussian noise but also reduces the speckle noise.4. The application of mathematical morphology in ground target detection is researched. A new IR image automatic segmentation method is presented after the morphological filtering methods are studied. The experimental results prove that the combination of morphological filtering and joint relative entropy thresholding method can effectively separate the target and background without prior knowledge, and has robustness and adaptiveness.5. The target recognition using morphological reconstruction filter is researched. Morphological reconstruction filter is a very effective nonlinear filter, which can preserve the image contour during the image simplification.
