The structure of future wireless system will transform from almost for voice traffic to mainly for data traffic with aid by voice traffic, which will require the new wireless system can support higher rate data traffic. So the new system will apply advanced technologies to guarantee the quality of service of different data traffic. The demand for radio resource management will also improve, so it is the time to design new radio resource management schemes to adapt to QoS of the new traffic. The paper makes more detail researches on the radio resource management, bring forward some schemes for radio resource management. In addition, the paper focuses on the interference when two systems coexist in adjacent area, which are useful reference data for network planning. This dissertation focuses on studying and analyzing the system interference, scheduling schemes for wireless communications, admission control and channel assignment schemes for CDMA.Chapter 1 reviews the development history of wireless communication systems, the brief introduction about HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) and then content about radio resource management. Furthermore, make an overall description of research content.Chapter 2 describes the inter-system interference when WCDMA and HSDPA coexist in adjacent area, then show two inter-system interference type. The sector analyzes the inter-system interference in theory. With system level simulation method, we simulate the two systems in different environments to analyze the inter-system interference. The simulation is focused on the relationship between system capacity and throughput, compare with the effect of the interference in three environments. It is the reference data for network planning and optimization.Chapter 3 analyzes the scheduling methods for CDMA from two sectors: code division scheduler and time division scheduler. The Chapter proposes some new ideas of scheduling methods: Load and position-oriented fast cell selection for HSDPA, Load and QoS -Oriented Packet Scheduling for WCDMA Communications and...
