With the prevalence of automobile, the health and safety of driving are paid more and more attention to. How to improve and perfect automobile design, make the driving posture reasonable so as to ensure people's health, which is an important question for discussion.At present, digital technologies was used for automobile design. In digital ergonomics, driving posture is a basic unit for checking driving operation including static operation and dynamic operation. So driving posture calculation model is the middle link between automobile and driver. Study on driving posture calculation model, then study on digital ergonomics above it, can solve humanization design of automobile effectively.Driving posture is usually defined as that driver taking in order to finish the driving tasks in special driving circumstance. Driving posture calculation model is set to build quantitative and qualitative mathematical expression about driving posture and its influence factors.This study have concentrated on the following:(1) Driving simulation platform was built, experiment was designed and completed which measured the driving posture affected by seat, steering wheel, pedal and anthropometric parameters.(2)From statistics, the quantitative relations between seat, steering wheel, pedal and driving posture were analyzed. Then driving posture calculation model was built, it can calculate driving posture when the design factors and anthropometric parameters are input.(3) Traditional research methods about postural control were analyzed. The influencing factors on posture selection through experiments was investigated, and compared the weightiness in these factors. Then driving posture control model was put forward using for simulating the driving behavior in reality.(4) According to the above posture control model, we defined the cost function for posture calculation. Genetic algorithm is adopted to deal with posture prediction. Comfort, potential energy and joint ranges of motion are set as constraint condition, redundant problems was avoid and posture prediction is accorded with human'sphysiological characters. At the same time, anthropometric data makes posture prediction realistic. The experiment proved that the model could solve the reachable problem of space point in digital environment, and predict reasonable posture.(5) The framework of computer-aided ergonomics was proposed based on driving posture calculation model. The direct reasoning model and inverse reasoning model of comfort was built according to driving posture. We also put forward some other ergonomics evaluation technologies such as static strength analysis, view cone and reach zone.(6) An ergonomics prototype system base on driving posture calculation model was developed , and analyzed the key technologies. The system can import product model, build virtual human model and human-product environment. Then comfort assessment, reach zone analysis, static strength analysis can be made. The practicability and correctness of theories, methods and technologies proposed in this dissertation was verified.(7) In the end, all of the contribution and the conclusions about the works are summarized. Moreover, it discusses some unsolved problems and future research works.
