With the development of educational informationization and the implementation of "School to School Network" project, educational research in universities has acquired a tendency of informationization. Teachers' methods of research have been becoming more and more informationized—not only the collection and analysis of data depends on the information technology to an even greater extent, but also more displays of research findings as well as the practice of research activities are carried out through measures of information technology. The rising of web teaching and research, together with the popularization of new courses, on the other hand, has stimulated the emergence of web teaching and research.Study of web teaching and research started at the end of the 20th Century, when some teachers spontaneously used tools of web communication and discussed teaching online. Regional and national exploration of web teaching and research began ever since and there were more and more study on web teaching and research. However, comprehensive studies on web teaching and research, which can combine theories and practice, are still limited. On the other hand, the study on how to guarantee the effectiveness of web teaching and research is far from systematic. Basing on a starting point related to these current problems, the author gives a tentative exploration and practice of web teaching and research on Chinese.The paper is divided into five chapters, discussing about web teaching and research of Chinese from three perspectives: 1) a theoretical discussion about the theory system of web teaching and research of Chinese. The web teaching and research of Chinese has its own basis-both theoretically and practically. Doing research is an effective way for teachers to have a professional development. The development of educational informationization has as well determined the informationization tendency of teachers' research. Practice study, theories of communications, learning outlook of constructionism, and theories of knowledge management have established its theoretical basis; development of educational informationization and implementation of "School to School Network" project have established the practical basis. The paper gives an overall discussion regarding this matter in Chapter One.2) a discussion about the multi-facet of web teaching research of Chinese from the viewpoint of practice. Chapter Two focuses on the practice model, measure and procedures of web teaching and research of Chinese. In addition, it also analyzes the practice of web teaching and research of Chinese, taking the web teaching and research on www.Chinese.cersp.com as an example. The key to the development of web teaching and research is its effectiveness. But how can we guarantee it? Chapter Three mainly deals with the problems of the creation of web teaching and research environment, development of informationized Chinese course resources, management of web teaching and research of Chinese as well as web research and study. Comparing with traditional teaching and research, web-based teaching and research of Chinese has its unique characteristics and advantages. However, problems coexist. In Chapter Four, the author gives her own answers to these problems, basing on her individual practice.3) a discussion about the influence of web teaching and research of Chinese from the aspect of value, which is presented in Chapter Five. Comparing with traditional teaching and research, web teaching and research has enormous influence, which arouses teachers' sense of ego, shapes the web teaching and research culture of equality, democracy and communication, changes teachers' daily life, and also exerts a deep and far-reaching influence on teachers' professional development. According to the author, web teaching and research is both a supplement to and surpass of traditional teaching and research. Where will web teaching and research go in the future? The authorconjectures and predicts technically.The dissertation explores on the theoretical construction and practice of web teaching and research of Chinese. Limited by the author's capability and many other realistic conditions, the research on many problems is not deep, specific research of practice not sufficient. Moreover, there are still many problems still untouched. For example, how to organize teaching and research activities more effectively in an informationized environment, how to appraise the performance of web teaching and research more effectively, how to set up a mechanism of evaluation and motivation for regional web teaching and research? All these questions are to be answered.
