The university harmony management mechanism in our country in the view of nonlinearity is a topic that needs to be explored thoroughly in higher educational theoretical studies. In the dissertation, from the perspective of nonlinear thinking, with the combination of non-linear theory i.e. dissipative structure theory, Synergetics and so on with the harmony thought in Chinese traditional culture, the concept of nonlinear harmony is put forward, the nonlinear relations and harmony management mechanisms in the culture, organization, power, human capital, external relations, core competence of the university are studied. With a logical approach of internal harmony →external harmony →whole harmony, the theoretical frame of Chinese university harmony management mechanism is sketched out initially.Firstly, the question consciousness, perspective and significance of the study are explained. The main concepts concerning research are defined. The achievements and shortcomings of relational studies are analyzed generally. The thinking pathway of the study is introduced. The theoretical pattern of our country university nonlinear harmony management is put forward.Secondly, from the perspective of philosophical thinking, concerning the practice of our country university management, the extension of university management thinking is explored, namely, from closeness to openness, from simplicity to complexity, from certainty to uncertainty, from experience to strategy, from zero-sum to win-win. Based on the explanation of nonlinear system character, the character of nonlinear thinking is discussed, and the philosophical significance of nonlinear science is also probed.Thirdly, the dissertation discusses the development, conflict, harmony of university culture from the view of nonlinearity. In the long history, the idea of university experienced from individual-based, knowledge-based to social-based, three of which went through from dispute, contradiction, emerge to harmony. The development of idea of university in our country is full of ups and downs, conflict and harmony. The harmony implication of university spirit is explored, which is the soul of university. The cultivation of spirit of university in our country must coordinate three kinds of relations, namely, general character and individuality, Inheriting and innovation, adaptation and transcending. From the view of organization structure of multi-level, multi-units and multi-function, six types of university teacher culture (the teaching, the scientific research, the management, the politics, the economy, the mix) are put forward, which conflict mutually, seep mutually, affect mutually, blend mutually and constitute a netted distribution multicultural. It points out the contradiction and conflicts between academic and utilitarian, the academic-oriented and the official-oriented behind the multicultural difference. A university teacher multicultural harmonious mechanism is constructed by organically synthesize and the utilize the essential factor such as university spirit, strategic target, common vision, policy, system, rule, study, communication, consultation, and so on . These explorations are helpful to a more profound understanding for university culture connotation, the university culture being the soul of university management, the university cultural reconstruction playing the most important role in university management.Fourthly, the dissertation deal with the transform and harmony of university organization from the view of nonlinearity. The organization management theory paradigm has been turned from certainty paradigm to uncertainty (complexity paradigm), from linear thinking, mechanical thinking, reduction thinking to nonlinear thinking, organic thinking, integration thinking. University system organization characteristics are analyzed from non-linear angle, namely, complexity and contradictory coexisting, multiple and unified coexisting, openness and conservative coexisting, the loose-coupled and compactness coexisting. By using the dissipative structure theory the achievement, the lesson and the existing problems are analyzed in our country university .It is proved that opening and introducing the negative entropy, creating the non-equilibrium state, constructing non-linear interaction, controlling and the utilizing random fluctuation is the operational mechanism from disorder to order. This mechanism is not only the precondition and the power of university organization harmonious development, but also the requirement of era progress and social development. Furthermore, the three non-balanced strengths for integrating university organization are discussed. It is pointed out that the bureaucracy strength displays limited function, the market strength displays assistance function, the cultural strength displays leading role.Fifthly, it is analyzed that the complex characteristics of power relations in university from the viewpoint of non-linearity, namely, the fuzziness and conflict of power structure boundary , difference and contradiction of two powers' operational mechanism, the multiple and dissymmetrical of power main body, value confliction of university power. For better leading and managing university, university president should be a harmonious authority, which is the organic unity of four types of authorities. Moral authority as the core, academic authority, management authority and psychological authority are complemented one another. The coupling mechanism and running pattern for multi-dimensional authority are discussed, which are the common policy-making pattern of the party, the administration and professor, the decision-making pattern of multi-dimensional authority main body, decision-making pattern of bottom-heavy decentralization.Sixthly, the main problems faced by human resources and human capital management in our country university are analyzed in aspects of talented person's distribution, competition, flowing, idea and system. It is proposed that the university human resources and the human capital management should change from the linear mechanism to non-linear harmonious management mechanism. Furthermore, two important aspects for raising the university human capital are explored. One is that the key to promote university human capital is creative thinking development. Based on dissipative structural theory, the premise is open-thought, essential condition is far away the balance, intrinsic motive force is non-linear interaction, lever is random fluctuation in creative thinking development of university human capital. The other is that the harmonious personality cultivation is the value orientation for university human capital realization. Based on the idea of sustainable development in man and nature, harmonious personality cultivation is a unceasingly circulative process by cognition, emotion, will, behavior, and is integrated by the true, the good and the beautiful. Harmonious personality consisting of a series of qualities in psychology, ethics, law, and economy is the key for university talents training.Seventhly, positive interaction and harmony about university external relations is discussed in the view of non-linearity. As a non-balance self-organization system in the market economy , university in our country must turn from relying on the government excessively to running independently by the law, establishing a kind of harmonious relations with mutually supporting, mutually promoting, mutually supervising between the university and the government Under the background of knowledge economy development .university's status and the importance grow day by day, universities moving from society's edge to the center, taking the society's responsibility, improving social material civilization, political civilization and the spiritual civilization .In the modern society system, the relations between universities in our country should be a kind of both competition and cooperation, realizing win-win situation. A harmonious mechanism of University external relations in our country is explored, namely, improving legislation and strict law enforcement, enhancing moral construction, perfecting market regulation and related systems, four of which carry out jointly to be an organic unity.Eighthly, based on nonlinear character of system, the relations between system overall effect and harmony are deduced, as well as explaining the concept of non-linear harmony. The university core competitive power is integrated non-linearly by many kinds of competitive powers, which are capital, academic, organization, culture, external relations. From the view of Synergetics, how to forge and lift Chinese university academic competence is discussed.The prerequisite is to construct a condition of openness and unbalance. The motive powers are nonlinear mechanism of competition and coordination .The main control force is the formation of order parameter. This provide a theoretical key and a good thinking method for forging and lifting Chinese university academic competence .building superior discipline cluster .promoting the construction and development of specialities. Competition and harmony existing side by side and playing a part together is analyzed. It is pointed out that university competitive power is integrated by system elements, showing that the competitive advantage is stronger and level is higher than the competitor. The characteristic of university harmonious strength lies in manifesting the university system more harmony and more coordination than the competitor. The competitive power and the harmony strength are working together to improving the healthy and sustainable development of university. Furthermore, It is put forward that university core competence is integrated by university core competitive power and whole harmony strength, and the best strategic choice of university core competence is the flexible competition strategy and the win-win strategy, and its strategic plans and the implementation way are :(1) Making clear what kind of position of the university in, forming characteristic and advantage are the premise to forge university core competence;(2) The discipline construction is the key to forge the university competence;(3) The enhancement and innovation of cultural reconstruction provide the strength fountainhead for the forging university core competence;(4) The element integration is one of the important methods to forging university core competence;(5)The transformation and innovation of organizational structure will guarantee the forging of university core competence.
