The school-based curriculum is a development model corresponding to the national curriculum, among which the music school-based curriculum development focus its attention to meet the need of specfic music study, bases on the available music curriculum resources in the school and aims to bring about the specialization of the school misic education.With the issue of "three-level curriculum management" policy and the deepening of new curriculum reform, the music school-based curricula are being spread out in the basic education field in China.With the theoretical and practical research of the music school-based curriculum development in primary and secondary schools, the thesis here tries to elucidate some relevant theoretical problems in the development of music school-based curriculum, summarize some experience through an empirical study to correct any deviation during the development of the music school-based curriculum, to promote favorable development of the music school-based curriculum in primary and secondary schools.The research includes two parts:theory and practice. Theoretically, some basic theories and technological problems of the music school-based curriculum development are fully discussed, for instance, the theoretical and practical base of the music school-based curriculum development; the orientation,types and activity modes of the music school-based curriculum development; the technological operation of the music school-based curriculum development; the curriculum resource problems during the music school-based curriculum development. Practically, an empirical study on the music school-based curriculum development in primary and secondary schools was carried out, including an investigation about the existing music school-based curriculum development in primary and secondary schools and an empirical study as well; taking "folk music in southen Fujian"--a music school-based curriculum developed by Xiamen No.2 Experimental Primary School-as a case study to make some analysis of its development process and achievements, to summarize and popularize the successful experience.
