There is deep and extensive cultural relationship between religious culture and yuan zaju. But up to now, we haven't seen any comprehensive research results in Yuan zaju observing from the aspect of religious culture. Therefore, this article tried doing some research in such a field. The article mainly concerns about: Firstly, explored the secret of sudden prosperity of Yuan zaju from the aspect of the prosperity of folk religion, which was based on the full absorption of the research results of Drama arts. Secondly, with the careful study on the drama works and much emphasis on the substantial evidence research, unfolded deeply the religious factor inside Yuan zaju , which was based on the comprehensive research in the Chinese religion ( Buddhism, Taoism and Folk religion) .We think, rites of offering sacrifices inside Chinese folk religion reserve in countries far and long, constituting the basic way that Chinese drama art formed and exited. But with the comprehensive prosperity in religion and its folk development in Song Dynasty, Jin Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty, Yuan zaju ended its religious tie and gained the independence in arts. On the other hand, the marvelous religious culture of our country had a deep and extensive influence on Yuan zaju such as topics, images and itemconstructions, which embodied the deep brand of Chinese religion.The unique art style of Yuan zaju blending with religious culture and drama art together, is very meaningful in the history of Chinese drama culture development, which is a window for us to understand the spirit of Chinese drama culture .
