PurposeIn this research, there are two purposes:The first is to explore the features of characteristics of social cognition for youngautistic young children; The second is to explore the path and method of intervention for young autistic youngchildren.ComposeTwo parts composed the research: one is experiments research and the another is intervention research.Part One: Experiments ResearchSubject:6 Autistic young children (all are boys; range of calendar age: 49-61 months; mean ofcalendar age is 54 months; mean of mental age is 23 months);6 Mental Retardation children (3 are boy and 3 are girls range of calendar age: 51-63months; mean of calendar age is 56 months; mean of mental age is 23 months);6 typical children (range of calendar age: 22-24 months; mean of calendar age is 23months; mean of mental age is 23 months)Data Collection and AnalysisData Collection:Use the digital camera (Cannon Mv550) to record the all process of 8 experiment.Data Analysis:Put the recording of experiment into the computer and use the Xp of the VCD reading to coding analysis by second reading, all are 57720 seconds.CodingUse the coding sheet (did it by myself) to code all the experiment process and result. Put 3 seconds as one units for the experiment of eye contact; and put the 5 seconds as One unites for the recognition of emotion and put the 10 seconds as one unites for the playing scene.ExperimentSeries 1 Experiment About Joint AttentionExperiment 1 Responsive Eye Contact and PointingExperiment 2 Responsive Eye Contact and Following ViewExperiment 3 Auto Eye Contact and PointingExperiment 4 Compare with The Subject Of ViewingSeries 2 Experiment of Cognition About Self and Other PersonsExperiment 5 Differentiation Between Self Cognition And Other Cognition Experiment 6 Compare Of Mirror Self Cognition And Video Self Cognition Experiment 7 Cognition About Other EmotionSeries 3 Symbolic playExperiment 8 The Experiment of Symbolic PlayMain Results? About Joint Attention:The subjects of autistic young children could do eye contact although the time is limited between 2 seconds; the pointing could arouse their following view most easily; Language with pointing could keep their attention longest. The subjects of autistic young children had more positive emotion, the more eye contact they had; They pay more attention to objects further than persons; They gazed at peer further more than teacher and another adults; They had few pointing.? About The Cognition About Self and Other Persons:The subjects of autistic young children could distinguish self and other persons primarily; they could discern themselves in mirror better than in the video, but there was collection between it. The subjects of autistic young children may used the strategy to cognize the emotion of other persons and they could cognize emotion of infants easier.? About Symbolic PlayThe subjects of autistic young children had few symbolic play behaviors. The model of this research was approved. In the model, it was suggested that eyecontact of autistic young children associate their cognition of self and other personsand their symbolic play behaviors according to the results of experiments. The results showed there is connection between the joint attention and cognition forself and other persons: Eye contact, pointing and distinguish behavior had positivecollection, Between the eye contact and knowing the function of toys correctly hadpositive collection too. Anther result is positive emotion had positive relation withknowing the function of toys correctly. The results showed there is connection between the cognition for self and otherpersons and symbolic play. It was showed that cognition the emotion of other personshas the positive collection with knowing the function of toys correctly.Part Two: Intervention ResearchSubjectThe subjects of 6 Autistic young children (all are boys; range of cal...
