Professor Dai Yuguang has the original feeling and become aware to the Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).He accumulated rich experience in the various TCM internal medicine illnesses.He think "HuangDiNeiJing" is the key classics that must to be read when you want to be a TCM doctor.This classics elaborated the TCM's core thought and clinical way and methods.He think "ShangHanLun" and "JinGuiYaoLue" are effective TCM clinical pattern,the formula and decoction are important basic skills,Studying the notes of other TCM specialists is the shortcut to grasp the clinical skills.He has profound and original opinion in deal with the relationship such as person and nature,principal and secondary aspect,slight and key sign.He formed systematic and the unique experience in treatment of asthma,the erysipelas,gynopathy,and so on.Bronchial asthma(bronchial asthma,referred to as asthma) is a common chronic respiratory disease in childhood.In China,the incidence of childhood asthma is 0.11% -2.03%,and the highest rate can reach up to 5%.Based on the "Guidebook of Prevention and Treatment of Bronchial Asthma ",the prevention and treatment of childhood asthma in western medicine is mainly for anti-inflammation.These treatments have good results of controlling symptoms with certain effects in short term, but it is not idea for the long-term efficacy.TCM has a long history of treating asthma with diverse methods,especially enjoying outstanding advantage in treating the remission stage,improving children's immune function and preventing asthma attacks.Professor Dai Yuguang has accumulated rich experience in treating asthma.On childhood asthma treatment,he adopted the nourishing advantages of paste,combined herbs carefully to create the Qi-receiving and Asthma-relieving paste.To observe the therapeutic effect of the Qi-receiving and Asthma-relieving Paste with the use of TCM approach and the clinical randomized controlled trial principle, under the guide of the conventional prevention and treatment of childhood asthma framed by National Pediatric Asthma Collaborative Group.The selected cases were randomly divided into 32 cases of treatment group and 33 cases of control group(blank control).Clinical observation and statistical study were made at the medication period and the observation period respectively.The results showed that for the treatment group,the incidence of cold and cold-induced asthma,the exercise-induced asthma,the overall incidence of asthma were all inferior to that of the control group,and there is statistical significance.After medication,the peripheral blood eosinophils in the treatment group was decreased obviously,while the serum immunoglobulin IgA,IgM,IgG were increased significantly.Professor Dai Yuguang advocates that the research of TCM treatment of childhood asthma should focus on the remission period.By nourishing the essence Qi of lung, spleen and kidney,especially the nourishing of the kidney-yang and kidney-ying,the immune function of the children is improved from the root.In accordance with the principle of treating winter diseases in the summer season,using warming and tonifying paste in the hot summer days can prevent the attack of asthma.It is professor Dai's application and development on the thought of "harmony between man and nature" by using Qi-receiving and Asthma-relieving paste to treat childhood asthma at dog days of remission stage.This project confirmed that using Qi-receiving and Asthma-relieving paste to treat childhood asthma at dog days of remission stage can reduce the cold-induced and exercise-induced asthma.This medicine is convenient in use without any toxicity and side effects;it could become an effective TCM therapy for Childhood Asthma.
