The Observation About Curative Effect Of Rotatory Manipulation On Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy

The Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy(CSR)is the common and frequently-occurring disease in clinic.Such patients generally have the nape and arm ache,even the upper limb numb,the feeling barrier,the myo-strength weakens and so on.Its incidence of a disease grows quickly, already taking up 70.2%of all cervical spondylotic patients,while the agedness being in the majority.But in recent years,along with the working and life style changed,the CSR happened more and more frequently,and presented the trend of professionalism and low age,seriously disturbed the individual patients and the society.Therefore it is the hot area in modern times,worthy of studying deeply.At first,the research reviewed the related literatures of modern tomes,introduced the system info and clinic wield of CSR roundly.It has existed for a long time using rotatory manipulation to treat CSR.Many doctors agreed that it can cure the CSR by releasing the spasm of muscles, correcting the turbulence of facet joints,relaxing the conglutination of nerve roots,lightening the press of inter disc,enlarging the space of cervical vertebra,and so on.The rotatory manipulation has different forms,of which the most unique one is the rotatory manipulation created by Sun Shuchun,who is the chief researcher of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.This rotatory manipulation is just the one applied in this study.In clinical research,a contrast way was adopted between the rotatory manipulation and the traction therapy,while the anticipated target was recorded in eight time spots.So the curative effect and the security of rotatory manipulation were observed through the clinical normative research.The last conclusion can be made nearly to the prospective result, that is rotatory manipulation has better curative effect and higher security,especially in ameliorating the patient's nape and arm ache,the pressing ache on neck and the territory of cervical vertebra,but can not obviously improve the upper limb numb,the feeling barrier,the myo-strength weakens,and so on.The rotatory manipulation has influence on the curvature of cervical vertebra,but has no use to superfluous proliferation and loss of stabilization of which.This research belongs to the Research about the Curative Effect and Security of the Rotatory Manipulation on Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy,which is a government project in science and technology. Through carrying on the study,we can observe the curative effect and security of the rotatory manipulation,and form the technique standard and secure appraisal system of which.We also hope that the study would benefit on spreading the rotatory manipulation and bringing a sort of new researching way on how to standardization the manipulation.Objective Through carrying on the normative study about the rotatory manipulation on CSR,comparing to the traction therapy,we can observe the curative effect and security of the rotatory manipulation,and form the technique standard and secure appraisal system of which.Methods According to the standard of diagnosing,bringing to and excluding,there were 50 patients involving the research.Those 50 cases were distributed to two groups randomly,group A and group B.The cases in group A would accept the treatment of rotatory manipulation,while the cases in group B would accept the traction treatment.There were 8 time spots to operate the observation task before and after the treatment totally.The correlative target included the life symptom such as blood pressure,pulse,rate,and the nape neck,the territory of cervical vertebra,and so on.Then these target were filled in CRF and reported in time.At last,we used statistics software to analysis the recorded data,so the conclusion can be made.Results These 50 cases all came from the outpatients of Guangdong Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine and volunteers accorded with request qualification.They were distributed to two groups randomly, group A had 31 cases and group B had 19 cases.There are 12 male cases and 38 female cases,whose average age is 54.78 years old,average course is 28.3 months.The mostly occupation is office worker.All patients were diagnosed exactly,and such signs like superfluous proliferation can be saw on X-ray photos.Before the observation carried out,we recorded some correlative target,and found that there was little difference in weight and diastolic pressure between the two groups,but it didn't have any clinical meaning.There was no difference in other life symptom,such as systolic pressure,pulse,heart rate,breath rate.After the observation finished,all data were recorded and analysed by statistics software. First,we found that group A had better effect in the patient's nape ache, the pressing ache on neck and the territory of cervical vertebra than group B,but the difference in the upper limb numb,the feeling barrier,the myo-strength weakens were not obvious.The group A had influence on the curvature of cervical vertebra,but didn't have use to superfluous proliferation and loss of stabilization of which.Second,those data was. calculated by statistics software,the index of curing effect can be made, which of group A is 65.1±15.86%,and guoup B is 37.33±19.78%.It was obvious that the group A was better than group B.Finally,we can make a conclusion that the curative effect of rotatory manipulation on CSR achieved 96.8%,while that of traction therapy only 73.4%.The rotatory manipulation can obviously improve the patient's nape ache,the pressing ache on neck and the territory of cervical vertebra,but can not obviously improve the upper limb numb,the feeling barrier,the myo-strength weakens, and so on.The rotatory manipulation has influence on the curvature of cervical vertebra,but has no use to superfluous proliferation and loss of stabilization of which.In the course of study,no blight occurs in group A,while one case in group B.So,we can figure that the rotatory manipulation has higher security.Conclusion It has better curative effect and higher security using the rotatory manipulation on C.S.R.The rotatory manipulation can achieve the better curative effect by releasing the spasm of muscles,correcting the turbulence of facet joints,relaxing the conglutination of nerve roots, lightening the press of inter disc,enlarging the space of cervical vertebra,and so on.After broken up to rotating and lifting,the rotatory manipulation can be controlled and repeated easily,whose higher security confirmed the confidence of the manipulators in clinic.We can declare that the rotatory manipulation is effective and safe,worthy of extending energetically in clinic.But there are some regret that the aim crowd coming from hospital patients and the small quantity maybe bring windage to conclusion,affect the veracity and lack of strengthen of argumentation. The mechanism of rotatory manipulation treating CSR is not explained distinctly because of its complexity.We will take the mechanism study as our emphasis in future.
