Cyclomastopathy was the common and frequently occurring illness in the women. At present, with the increasing life rhythm, mastopathy showed the upgrading tendency. Experts considered that cyclomastopathy was the precancerous change of mammary cancer, or it was called mammary gland benign tumor. In 1987, the National Tumor Office listed this disease as precancerous change. It had a special position in mammary gland diseases.In modern medicine theory, mammary gland was the target organ of many hormonal functions. Its physiological function was regulated by hypothalamus-appendix cerebri-ovaries axile. Endocrine disturbance or increasing sensitivity of mammary gland toward hormone were the principal pathogenetic causes. The resent research showed that the development of cyclomastopathy was related with emotional instability, family life events, sexual life satisfaction and eating habit. In Chinese medical science, the liver failing to maintain the normal flow of QI and imbalance of Chong-Ren Channels will cause qi stagnancy,blood stasis and sputum concretion, which will lead to cyclomastopathy. During the disease development, emotional instability was the major factor. Although in Chinese traditional medicine theory, it was the heart that controled mental and emotional activities, but liver was the cores in stress reaction regulation. The mental stress reaction material was Neuroendocrine-immuno-modulation (NIM), and liver abreaction function was also regulated by NIM in TCM. The two kept coincidence in the theory, so, studying cyclomastopathy from the mental stress reaction will be an original point of view.The thesis adopted clinical epidemiology research method, studied the cyclomastopathy patients who caused by stagnation of Hepatic Qi syndrome.
