1. Purpose:Observe the effect and the mechanism of Foot bathing on the medium and low risk hypertension .2.Data and Method:2. 1 The diagnostic standard of liH (essential hypertension) is according to the hypertension standard suggested in the "Hypertension Prevention and Cure Guideline of China" .2.2 The diagnostic standard of medium and low risk hypertension shall be in accordance with the hypertension standard suggested in the"Hypertension Prevention and Cure Guideline of China" .2.3 The Chinese Medicine Syndrome Differentiation standard of EH: Take reference to the "Guiding Principles for the Clinical Research on the Cure of Hypertension with Chinese Medicines and New Medicines" of the Hygiene Ministry.2. 4 Grouping: 110 cases of hypertension patients, 71 males and 39 females were randomly divided into ,'i groups: western medicine control group, Chinese medicine control group and treatment group. The western medicine control group has 32 cases, 20 males and 12 females, with an average age of 48. 26?. 64 years, and the 1 laming up of 1 iver-fire syndrome has14 cases, the Hyperactivity of yang due to deficiency of yin syndrome has 15 cases, the Deficiency of both yin and yang syndrome has 1 case, the Profuse expectoration and retention of dampness syndrome has 2 cases . The Chinese medicine control group has 35 cases, 24 males and 11 females, with an average age of 49.62?.25 years, and the FLaming-up of liver-fire syndrome hasl? cases, the Hyperactivity of yang due to deficiency of yin syndrome has 16 cases, the Deficiency of both yin and yang syndrome has 1 case, the Profuse expectoration and retention of dampness syndrome has 1 case. The treatment group has 43 cases, 27 males and 16 females with an average age of 48. 97?. 81 years, and the Flaming up of liver-fire syndrome has!8 cases, the Hyperactivity of yang due to deficiency of yin syndrome has 22 cases, the Deficiency of both yin and yang syndrome has1 case, the Profuse expectoration and retention of dampness syndrome has2 cases. The cases of these 3 groups have no obvious differences in sex,ago, blood pressure or course of disease and the Chinese Medicine Syndrome.There is comparability among (hem.The normal treatment group has ,30 cases, 18 males and 12 females withan average age of 47. 11?. H6 years.2. 5 The principle lor the inclusion of cases: Blood pressures of the casesshall be taken for 3 times in different days under motionless and reststate, and found to be on line with the EH diagnose standard. The ageshall be in the range of 18-70 years old, belonging to medium and lowrisk hypertension cases. Medicines affecting blood pressure shall bestopped for at least 2 weeks before the tests are executed.2. 6 The principle for the exclusion of cases:Secondary hypertension caseswi th other serious diseases in the visceral organ systems of liver, kidney,lung, brain, and incrotion, etc. ; women in pregnancy or breast feedingperiod; psychopaths; high risk, very high risk essential cases; and thecases with two types of Chinese medicine syndromes without primary andsecondary difference, or complex cases with 3 types of Chinese medicinesyndromes.2.7 Sources of subjects investigated: All the medium and low risk hypertension cases were outpatients and inpatients of the Heart Internal Medicine Section of the No. 1 Clinical Medicine College of the Guangzhou Chinese Medical Science University. The normal control group is formed of the healthy persons checked up physically at the Heart Internal Medicine Section of the No. 1 Cl inical Medicine Colleague of the Guangzhou Chinese Medical Science University.2.8 Therapeutic Methods2.8.
