| Objective:To observe and evaluate the recent clinical efficacy, safety and the improvement of the quality of patients’daily life, we did clinical observation of the patients with essential hypertension of liver yang ascending pattern treated with addition and subtraction Tianma Gouteng Decoction(TGD)through randomized control group, positive drug test and prospective study methods. Based on the resault clear this treatment’s clinical characteristics and advantages in treating liver yang ascending type of hypertension, providing practical and reliable evidence-based mediccal proof for the clinical spread of this treatment.Methods:Through the randomized controlled and positive drug test way, dividing the patients who meet the standard into control group and experimental group by the random number remainder grouping method. In which the experimental group was given addition and subtraction TGD of Chinese medicine granules and tablets felodipine (Plendil), the control group taking only felodipine tablets (Plendil), after three weeks of treatment cycles were recorded and observed two groups of patients taking blood pressure before and after the TCM syndromes and laboratory indicators (as homocysteine, liver function, kidney function) of the changes, according to "Chinese medicine treatment of hypertension clinical research guidelines" in the comparing the efficacy of standard statistical analysis, in order to objectively reflect the clinical effect and safety of addition and subtraction TGD treating hypertension of liver yang ascending pattern.Results:1. The baseline of the test group and the control group blood pressure values, TCM syndrome assessment scale, score, laboratory parameters of Western medicine showed no statistical difference.2. From the first week after treatment, before and after the experimental group and the control group of patients with blood pressure differences were statistically significant (P<0.01). Degree from the systolic blood pressure after treatment, one week from the experimental group than the control group of patients, but the first two weeks the differences between the two groups’improvement was not statistically significant (P> 0.05), the first three weeks the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).3. During the three weeks of treatment, improvement in the test group TCM Syndrome Rating Scale of dizziness, headache, five upset hot, insomnia and other four symptoms than the control group., the difference between the two groups to improve the situation there was significant (P<0.05). From the first week after treatment, the experimental group than the control group of patients out of the first three weeks, there was significant difference between the two (P<0.05) after treatment.4.1n the safety indicators, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), serum creatinine (CRE), and between the treatment group and control group There were no significant differences in contrast (P> 0.05) before and after treatment group, indicating that the two groups no significant effect on safety indicators. After intra group after treatment targets and there was no significant difference between groups (P> 0.05).Conclusion:Addition and subtraction TGD combined with felodipine tablets (Plendil) in terms of the antihypertensive effect, improving the situation of TCM and laboratory indicators are better than the only use of felodipine tablets (Plendil). This integrative medicine tieatment of hypertension(liver yang ascending pattern) has good symptom improvement and it’s safe, suitable for clinical practice.
