The modular, collaborative and intelligent design of automatic weapons are the key technologies of realizing rapid product design, which play important roles in shortening design cycle and improving design efficiency. The research background of this dissertation is based on the Pre-research project, "The Integrated Application of Rapid Collaborative Design and Variable Batch Quantity Production of A Certain Automatic Weapon", which supported by the General Armament Department. This dissertation presents some theories and methods of rapid design of automatic weapons. The purpose of this study is to explore some strategies and approaches to provide technology support for rapid design of automatic weapons and promote design efficiency effectively. The main research contents and results are as follows:(1) For the problem of chronic lack of unified planning, non-standard and dispersion of current design process and the low overall design efficiency, a rapid modular and collaborative design scheme and software system have developed to provide supporting platform of fast and efficient design of automatic weapons.(2) For the problem of the poor reusability and interchangeablity of products, assemblies, components and parts of current automatic weapons design, which can not form a series models, an initial module division method based on the principle of Pedigree Classification Genealogy and a complex module division method based on the Immune Principles and Genetic Algorithm are presented. Based on the modularized and parametric design, a new model of general module-library management system is presented considering the special demand of collaborative and rapid design of automatic weapons, in order to achieve an orderly and rational basis for the establishment of modular co-design process.(3) The cooperative function of current design of automatic weapons is limited, and its assigned 3D models have oversized sharing data, so it is unable to response the reusable design activities efficiently. A method of model consistency maintenance and mapping mechanism based on parameterized modules which can be configured and reused with a view to rapid collaborative design is presented and designed. Based on network environment, modeling data and correlative operation information, a synchronized modeling method based on the replication mechanism of local variable parameters is proposed, which can satisfy the requirements of rapid collaborative design and practical engineering applications.(4) Based on the improved SGA(Simple Genetic Algorithm), a layered coding method are presented to describe the hierarchy of module assembled scheme of automatic weapons and prevent local optimization with binary coding. Applying the grey system theory to module assembled scheme evaluation of automatic weapons design, a decision-making theory for scheme selection of automatic weapon considering the quantized evaluation indexes and weighted grey correlation analysis based on the OVO law is proposed. The feasibility of this synthetic method oriented rapid design is validated by applying it into the module assembled scheme design and evaluation of a certain automatic weaponsA modularized and collaborative design model based on the rapid design system of automatic weapons is put forward and its application shows satisfying efficiency and practice usablilty. Take a certain automatic weapon model as an example, these theory and methods are validated in the developed software system. And the above proposed theory and methods are expected to be applied to modular, collaborative, and intelligent design of other defense military products in order to promote scientific research ability of national defence...
