With the accelerating of design information process of mechanical product and the popularization of mechanical and electrical integration technology, enterprise use CAD technology to design are becoming more widely. Mechanical products research and development tend to be faster, better and newer design, it is the optimal choice to use 3D parametric CAD to improve the efficiency of mechanical product design and innovation. In this paper, combining the actual demand of machine tool manufacturers design department, set up the computer aided design system of the NC machine tool function parts.(1) This paper puts forward computer aided design product design platform, on the basis of summarizing the general design method of mechanical and electronic products, is put forward in the process of the design of the machine tool features using modular design method and analytic hierarchy process(AHP), the ball screw, such as rolling guide design and selection of key technologies, on this basis to develop a set of calculation and analysis, optimized selection, performance evaluation platform for the computer aided design system, greatly improve the efficiency of the design of the machine tool features.(2) From the modular design thought, put forward computer aided NC machine features platform modular design steps, build the ball screw, the mathematical model of rolling guide design and type selection, puts forward the NC machine tool based on analytic hierarchy process(AHP) performance evaluation model of the rolling feature. According to the modular division method, principle and module interface technology, computer aided design features of NC machine tools platform mainly divided into program module and evaluation module, input and output module, calculation module, open the database and so on. Through the interface design, realized the data transmission between the template, so as to ensure the integrity of the design process, systematic.(3) Based on object oriented unified modeling language(UML), and complete the function of NC parts CAD platform design of visual expression. Features of computer aided design platform of NC machine tools of various modules of role, function and realization method are analyzed in the input, one of the key features of NC machine tools calculation model, program design, the parameterized model input and output and so on has carried on the detailed design. On this basis, the system to develop the function of nc machine tool parts cad platform.(4) By using this platform system practical application shows that the use of this platform system can realize parameterized, automation machine tool feature model, realize the function of nc machine tools to the efficiency and accuracy of the parts design and type selection, to ensure the integrity of the design process, systematic.
