When design a new generation of automatic weapons, Such as gun、bullet、optical sight device etc. module need collaborative design to deduce the cost of the design process. In order to avoid conflict and iterate generated in the design process, establish the interface of each component in the product system, research the classification method of the module interface, setup the connection between each module interface and variables, research the web-based methods to coordinate each design units. program interface and constraint-based software to realize the collaborative design among each design department.This paper introduces the research based on the interface and constraints collaborative design of automatic weapon, it is part of the12th Five-Year Plan. increase efficiency the design of the automatic weapons by apply the technology of collaborative design. the main research contents are as follows:(1) This paper introduces the principle and characteristics of collaborative design, in order to realize collaborative design in automatic weapons design, use the Design Structure Matrix (DSM) to modeling each components of automatic weapon, find out the component interfaces with other component coupling parameters and calculate its contact information flow, established the automatic weapons Design Structure Matrix. and develop the corresponding modeling tool.(2) Using multi-objective optimization of particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm for clustering optimized design structure matrix, put the components which highly coupling into the same module according to the actual needs, convenient for collaborative design and development of the design team. and establish the corresponding optimization program.(3) Classify the conflict generated in the collaborative design of automatic weapons, utilize the interval propagation algorithm based on constraint to resolve the conflict of coupling parameters in the design process, and developed a corresponding collaborative design platform for conflict resolution.(4) Established database based on Intranet environment background of Oracle database, and establish collaborative conflict resolution between the module and database interface, through the collaborative operation between software designers.
