Research On The Evolution Of Regional Innovation System Based On The Theory Of Self-organization

Under the current and perplexing international economic environment, ourcountry is in the major transition period of the adjustment of economic structure. Inthe new economic development point, it is nessary for the way of economicdevelopment to make new positioning to promote economic restructuring anddevelop innovative economy. Under this kind of the historical conditions, our countrywill adhere to innovation drive, accelerate the construction of national innovationsystem, strengthen science and technology to develop supportive ability of economyand society.Therefore, it is the inevitable requirement to grasp the inherent law ofregional innovation system to adapt to the new situation of economic development.The regional innovation system based on the theory of self-organization wouldcontribute us to analysize overall characteristics and the trend of China’s regionaleconomy development, and further understand the internal operation and evolutionlaw of regional innovation system.Around the study problems of this paper based on theories review and the selforganization theory, we would discuss the regional innovation system selforganization evolution and operation rule using the self organization theory as thecore. Specifically, the paper analyzes the complexity of the regional innovationsystem; and discusses evolution process of regional innovation system based onlogistic model, namely, the model parameters and initial values setting, simulationexperiments of regional innovation system evolution path, the study of the internalrule of the regional innovation system, the discussion and analysis the mechanism ofself-organization evolution of regional innovation system; emphasive analysis ofself-organization evolution power, the analysis and evaluation of coordination degreeof self-organization of regional innovation system of China’s30provinces, city,autonomous region from four subsystems level of the regional innovation system, theanalysis and evalution self-organization evolution efficiency of regional innovationsystem of China’s30provinces, city, autonomous region, the following conclusions are obtained:Firstly，the regional innovation system has the characteristic of complexity, whichis Specific performance in that the overall structure of the regional innovation systemis complex; and that the structure of regional innovation’s main body exhibitscomplexity.Secondly, the evolution of the regional innovation system is the interactiveprocess of self-organization and hetero-organization. The analysis of the selforganization dynamic synergetic of the regional innovation system shows that theinfluence of the different levels of regional innovation system is different in somerespects which are the innovation input subsystem, the output of innovation system,innovation diffusion system, innovation support system. Financial expenditure in thenational innovation system, regional innovation system and regional innovationsystem is an important parameter, but in the eastern regional innovation system,foreign direct investment which is the main parameter leading its evolution.Thirdly, the empirical analysis of China’s regional innovation system evolutionshows that the national innovation system, the central regional innovation system andthe western regional innovation systems are also in the stage of fast growing, whilethe eastern regional innovation system has entered a mature stage, at the sametime,the results also show that, The self-organization evolution process of China’sregional innovation system presents the law of logistic growth.Fourthly, the result that is applied SFA method to analyze operating efficiency ofself-organization evolution of China’s regional innovation system shows: no matterthe influence factors are considered, model estimation results shows that China’sregional innovation system in time and space are put in certain difference,the easternregion is higher than that of the midwest. The test of convergence of the regionalinnovation efficiency value shows that, in the national and regional level,includingChina’s30provinces, city, autonomous, the regional innovation efficiency valuedoesn’t exhibit the convergence feature;so does the eastern region and the middleregion. But from the perspective of the western region, the innovation efficiencygap between the western provinces has a significant trend of convergence. Finally, the conclusion of the paper based on the empirical study and experienceputs forward some simple suggestions on China’s regional innovation systemconstruction, and points out the future research direction of further efforts.
