High power pulse diver has been widely used in the fields of national defense and industries, and compactness, solid-state and high repetition rate are the most important development trends of it. A method to realize the compactness and solid state of modulator based on saturable pulse transformer(SPT) and opening switch is proposed in this dissertation. The generation of high voltage pulse with μs-stage rise time, ns-stage rise time and square wave are investigated. The four main contents are as follows.1. Multi-pulses synchronization technology controlled by SPT is proposedFirstly, the working principle and physical mechanism of the multi-pulses synchronization technology based on SPT is analyzed. The physical essence is revealed. That is: the synchronization controlling is realized based on the intrinsic property of the magnetic material. On the prerequisite of no dissipation, all the secondary circles of SPT could operation at the same time. And the high synchronization accuracy of the output multi high voltage pulses is achieved. With the simulation studies of CST and certification experiments, it is verified that the accuracy of all the secondary circles can reach to ns range.2. Investigation of new type LC-Marx generator based on the multi-pulses synchronization technology controlled by SPTA new type μs-grade LC-Marx generator based on the multi-pulses synchronization technology controlled by SPT is proposed. In the generator, SPT act as charging system, synchronization reversion controlling system, reversion switches and reversion inductances successively. The whole working process of the generator is analyzed by the methods of theoretical analysis and circuit simulation, and determinant of the voltage multiplication ratio is researched intensively. The results show that this ratio increases with the increase of the ratio of isolated inductance and reversion inductance, and then it is close to ideal value gradually. Experimental studies of the new type LC-Marx generator is carried out. The theoretical analysis of voltage multiplication ratio and feasibility of multi-pulses synchronization are verified by the structures of two stages and four stages LC-Marx generator. Finally, a six stages LC-Marx generator is set up. The peak value of the output voltage reaches to 110 k V, the rise time is nearly 1.1 μs, and the step up ratio of the whole is 121. The auto reset of magnetic cores of SPT is researched. The average output voltage of nine shots is 80.5k V, and the jitter of the peak value is 3.87 k V. The dispersity is 4.8%.The results indicate that the magnetic cores can reset automatically.3. Generation of ns grade rise time pulse base on the new type LC-Marx generator and semiconductor opening switch(SOS).In order to receive ns grade rise time pulse, SOS is employed to compress the output voltage of the proposed LC-Marx generator further. The circuit of the LC-Marx generator is reconstructed to meet the pumping requirement of SOS. And with the delicate design, the pumping circuit is integrated to the main loop. Experimental studies are carried out to the proposed ns grade rise time pulse modulator, and the key performances of SOS are researched carefully. The results show that the modulator could generate 100 k V grade high voltage pulse, with the rise time of 20 ns. The relationships between turn numbers of magnetic switch, initial charging voltage, load resistance and the technical performance of the modulator are studied. It is shown that when the turn numbers is small, the output voltage of LC-Marx generator will decrease. But the voltage signal on the load is increased on the contrary. The charging voltage and output voltage of LC-Marx generator increase linearly with the increase of initial charging voltage. The reverse pumping current increases at the primary stage of the increase of initial charging voltage, and it will tend to be constant when the charging voltage increases further. The output voltage of the whole modulator has the same discipline. The rise time of the output voltage is reduced on higher operation voltage. With the increases of load resistance, the output voltage is raised and its rise time is reduced. All the magnetic cores of the modulator could reset automatically stable. Magnetic opening switch with operation and controlling windings is proposed. And the switch opens when the current on the operation winding is larger than controlling current.4. Square wave generator based on inductive energy storage pulse forming line and opening switchThe forming process of fast rise time low resistance square wave based on inductive energy storage pulse forming line and opening switch is analyzed firstly. And the voltage gain on the especial boundary condition is researched. The equation of output voltage when the pulse forming line is charged nonuniform is achieved with theoretical researched. It shows that fluctuation on the flat of the square wave will occur on this condition. Two kinds of circuit structure to generate square wave is proposed and its working principle is analyzed.
